@lynnngugi thank you for showing us that any kind of intimate partner abuse can happen to anyone. A lawyer, doctor, teachers and even therapist. People who are abused are usually healthy emotionally and strong,socially connected, genuine and real and with empathy. Abuse happens subtly, and before you realise it, its 2 years in it 4,7,10 or more. Then you are trauma bonded to the abuser . I like this kind of show as we are learning from real survivors and what to do once we encounter such kind of abuse. We need to celebrate survivors because coming out of a trauma bonded abusive relationship is the hardest thing to do. As survivors really come out exhausted, sick, loss of self esteem, loss of confidence, loss of jobs, finances etc and it takes a lot of hard work to bring their true self back again. Well done Lynn. And I salute all survivors of domestic violence.
