Ronnie Van Zant wrote some great lyrics. This song is so well written that you can literally see the whole story in your mind, it's like a scene in a movie. Memorable, hilariously funny, and easy to sing along with, really doesn't get better than that for rock and roll lyrics.

When they are sitting in an interview they look old, but when they hit the stage the transformation is a miracle. They are once again in their 20s and rockin it like they were several decades ago. The blank spots are filled with others but you can feel the "Others" presence and Backing them Up. We can't see Ronnie, Allen and the others, but they are there none the less

@@dr.johnilias1791 WHERE did he say THAT? ive never seen or heard that, and i knew Allen and im from Jacksonville, and ive read and seen everything out there....i could have missed it....or forgot....but i would like to see that article.... the whole problem i have with the TRIBUTE band, is that people actually BELIEVE that JOHNNY was always the singer....ive even read interviews and seen videos where he talks about the struggles when "WE" first started out.same a the delusional Gene Odom...HE is convinced that every song they wrote...is about HIM....even Curtis Lowe.... He DID admit at one point to stealing coke bottles off Ronnies porch before dawn as a kid, but that is where it ends. i bought his books and i liked him, till someone told me that who knows him VERY well.

I've seen and heard both Ronnie and Johnny sing lead...and while my young memory tells me that Ronnie had the better-voice, Johnny has aged well, with time...and did a tremendous job keeping the band together and growing it over the years.
