This woman can put an a show. Saw her a few years back and I was floored how great she sounded live. She can do all that crazy vocal acrobatics live with no problem at all. She's more of a rhythm player than a shredder and I ain't mad about it one bit. Her voice alone is enough to melt faces. Kudos for Gibson for showin her love with what....her second or third sig? Looks like a party to me!

She's actually got some really good chops, but you don't get to see/hear it in their live sets since she mainly just plays rhythm on their album stuff. I saw them live a week and a half ago and she only played this guitar on a couple songs. Most of them she played on a butterscotch-shaded Explorer. Thought it was pretty cool when they officially announced this guitar less than a week after I saw them.

I think people down-play her guitar playing way too much for what she does musically. She is a singer, and a great songwriter, who plays guitar. When she's playing she's playing her own songs (to way more people than any of you) and she probably rarely ever plays anything thats improvised. She has to entertain and sing 1st and foremost. She just happens to always play cool ass Gibsons and people say her name when the say Gibson (not you, but her fans i.e. "Oh thats a Gibson, Lzzy Hale plays one of those...") and thats the kind of thing that gets you to ambassadorship.

Just bought my very own after seeing Halestorm in Friday the 13th!! Its about friggin' time this got released after being teased all month. Looked great, sounded amazing..Its a 1st with combined perfection from two legendary models...Well 3 when you count Lzzy!!!

I love the look of the Explorer Bird! I was thinking it, but glad she said it " stays in tune really well " (with that straight string pull). Good on her with the Gibson Brand Ambassador! Kudos!! You can read through some of the comments on this very page and see that women get more critical scrutinizing than their male counterparts in the world of rock.

Success is a recipe that never has the same exact ingredients twice. I’m a dork and I watch this show whether or not it’s my favorite band, someone I’ve never heard of or even a band that I don’t like. At the end of the day this is just a gear commercial to show off products for companies, to help artists sell a few more signature products and for the magazine to continue to get products for review from companies. Oh, and KZfaq views.

To everyone saying Lzzy is a bad guitar player cut her some slack. She's not claiming to be Eddie Van Hale. She's a vocalist and a pianist first. And even if she isn't a legendary guitar player, she has what it takes to be in an internationally successful rock band.

That's actually a well thought out design for chicks with tits, and is a great build. I was impressed with the quality. Oh and Annie can play guitar. I'm not sure I can say the same for this one.

Even the power chords sounded mediocre. When she tried to lead play, I'm sorry but sloppy and the tone was muddy and garbo.

Her playing wasn't that bad, but regardless, if most guitar players had a rocking pair of [t̲̅][i̲̅][t̲̅][s̲̅], and a [p̲̅][u̲̅][s̲̅][s̲̅][y̲̅], they would be super start in no time.
