You have one of the worst angle for judging it...
@tonykim97
@tonykim97 4 жыл бұрын
@@irokosalei5133 if you slow down the video, tho only possible way that kick could've scored to the head is if it CLIPPED the back of his head, because the travel of that kick went straight past the side of his head with no visible reaction to the other guy at all. So if some crescent kick can clip the head or if you are allowed to modify the kick so that it can go back towards the head, losing immense power to the kick, then this sport needs some serious change. Sport. If only I can get my hands on some other angle to prove this...

Great to see the more dynamic fighting style of Aaron Cook getting the reward, straight from the off, Cook shook him up with that head kick, his opponent was very wary after that, of the real possibility of being knocked out if Cook connected.

Great TKD fight. Blue fighter had excellent mobility and changed-up techniques and legs often. Sadly, though the red fighter was much taller, he had poor side kick flexibility, causing him to bend at the waist and not use his front leg much - mostly hoping for a crescent kick from clinch.

@Arna I fought him in the nationals open in the UK. Even though without excuses.... I had just recovered form my ACL reconstruction, so i wasn't top shape. Aaron beat me, at the time the crappy 7 point superiority win point system that was implemented that year which i cannot recall back in 2008 or 2009. His an AWESOME PLAYER! very respected person, i still have a photo of him and me, and tell the everyone how he whooped my like a rag doll! He winded me with a dual bandal shagui... freaking accuracy and power i was not expecting tbh, i lasted 40 secs, wish i didn't have the stupid point system they implemented at the time and the stupid mega points. Has same style as i do, I do not like this new forced taekwondo style ITF hybrid.( no offence on ITF practitioners, i have major respect for them, as i have competed once in their style and have close friend who is in ITF)

The Daedo PSS can register a valid strike but it can't differentiate between a normal kick and a kick which has a rotation of 180 or more. The default body strike value for a kick is 2 and the default head strike value is 3, the +2 technical points need to be scored by corner referees by pressing the appropriate trigger on their hand set. WT is trying out +2 for tech points instead of +1 at this event, and may implement it as a permanent rule change leading into Tokyo 2020 along with stuff like semi-finals and finals being 5 rounds as opposed to 2.

@@raviduweerasinghe127 i hold a 3rd Dan rank in wtf taekwondo and I ran my own dojang for over ten years so I have a damn clue of what I'm talking about. When I started out, the fighting part was fast paced with a lot of spinning kicks, jumping kicks and knockouts. Then came the point deduction rule if you fell and the flashy kicks were just a memory. The thing that really killed taekwondo was the Olympics, people had too much to lose and suddenly everyone got cautious. Nowadays it's a bouncing starring contest while trying to hit an electronic fanny pack with your bit chagi. What you're talking about isn't adaption, well in a way it is according to the new rules, but to be fair is just a mutilated version of my once beloved art. SGOD Nation just looks like he’s never fought anyone of Cooks level; also, Cook has been inconsistent at times, however, here he was “spot on”.

He shouldn’t have lost the way he did. He should’ve covered his head and been more active with his front leg as that’s what a taller fighter needs to do. he should’ve kept cool on the outside in his kicking range
