Note - this recipe makes 500 grams (approx) of Moong Dal Halwa using 1/2 cup moong dal dhuli.
Ingredients-
Moong dal, no skin (मूंग दाल) - ½ cup
Ghee(घी)- 3 tbsp
Sooji (सूजी) - 1 tbsp
Besan (बेसन) - 1 tbsp
Rose water (गुलाब जल) - 2 tsp
Nuts(ड्राई फ्रुट) chopped - handful
For Syrup-
Water (पानी) - 1 cup
Sugar (चीनी) - ½ cup
Cardamom powder (इलायची पाउडर) - ½ tsp
Milk (दूध) - ½ cup

I love moong dal halwa, but the traditional process of soaking the dal, grinding it into a paste and then slowly cooking it is such a long, tiresome and laborious process (I did it once and it took 1.5 hours!) that I just buy halwa outside. Now you've sold me this recipe and I am definitely going to try it. Thank you chef :)
