"One Night in Heaven" is the sixth overall single from British band M People and the first single from their second album Elegant Slumming (1993). Written by Mike Pickering and Paul Heard. Produced by M People. It was released on 14 June 1993. The song peaked at number six on the UK Singles Chart. In Iceland, "One Night in Heaven" reached number five.

The singers name is Heather Small. She had a string of hits with M People and a solo career afterwards! Check out her hits! Her hairstyle became iconic in the U.K. I loved them growing up.

The lead singer is Heather Small. She has such an interesting voice who no other singer sounds like. She has 2 or 3 solo albums, and on the first, she has a great song that was fairly popular here in the US. I think it's been used on a few movie soundtracks. It's called "Proud" and it's very good. She also has done a duet with Tom Jones which is very good.

Don't Look Any Further is my fave from them. Movin' On Up is really good too. I think they were from the UK and did a bit of dance/soul/lounge music in the 90s. Their second album had many bops, i listened to it on Spotify not too long ago. Their singer has a great voice.

GOD this song reminds me of some bigger hit!! Ah, don’t have it yet. I found out. The only way is up by Yazz. A huge hit in 1987-88.

M People are legendary!!! So many hits in the 90’s. I saw them live in Brighton and she was phenom!!! Check out Sight for Sore Eyes by them. Her vocals are so unique. You’ll probably have to have the lyrics up though, as many people don’t get what she’s singing. The original album version is the best too!!!
