Not only tent cities, but druggies and zombies all over urban America which have made the cities very unsafe -- the basic human rights.

There may be grand strategies and there is humanity. No one should have the right to dictate the lives of citizens of any country other than their own

In summary, if what KM mentioned about the scholar in 1949 who said about the type of society, could also be the case of contest between authoritarian gov vs a democracy......... since US is divided, which is better?

Whatever he mends (which wasn't much to begin with) will be broken after he leaves. The relationship Trump build with North Korea is a goner now, haven't you heard Kim's sister call the USA a gangster? The POTUS has no real power.

I disagree with kishore that "China wants to create a deep dependence on (China's) manufacturing." This statement of Kishore is objectionable, to say the least. He is slightly paranoid. And I thought he understood the Chinese people. To paraphrase the chinese Buddist monk saying, *Do your best with whatever undertaking and consider the rewards incidental." I take this to mean that there must be no evil intention and cultivate virtue. Kishore has to admit that China's success is a global good.

Kishore still admired old western demons I'm afraid. But people born in his time in Asia all felt like the West are so great. Forgive him for that, he's still a great man 😅😆

"China wants to create a deep dependence on (China's) manufacturing." This is a completely erroneous characterization. Is Mr. Mahbubani hedging his analysis so as to pretend to be siding with neither continental state across the Pacific? For all the time that he's spent in China and along with top Chinese scholars, how could he FAIL to understand this guessing of his is totally out of the character with the Chinese self view and vision including their relations with the world? Sad!

Well, Kishore, China is bankrupt, and the people are revolting. It will break up very soon and never rise again.

China bankrupt, its people revolting, and China breaking up very soon never to rise again? That’s what you will believe when you watch only the anti-China propaganda by western MSM and the Falungong related media. Gordon Chang has been predicting the collapse of China for the last 20 years, and counting. It’s a wonder they still call him a China expert.😂. Maybe because he tells them what they want to hear, even if it’s rooted more in hope than facts.

I agree that Trump is better than Biden and I disagree with Kishore on this matter. Trump might be disruptive, but I'd still rather have a clown as a ruler than a dementing avatar who is standing in for some anonymous vampire pulling the strings behind the scenes. At least with Trump as POTUS you will know who you're dealing with (although, he too will be sharing that power with the vamps).
