Hiking to the Mýrdalsjökull Glacier from Þakgil (Thakgil) Campground in Southeastern Iceland. Enjoy cinematic drone footage of this spectacular area!
The hike is at least 6.5 miles with at least 1,761 feet of climbing. The trail on All Trails seems like it stops short of the glacier, so just be warned it will be further and can get a bit confusing up there if it's really cloudy or foggy because there are no trees and it's practically all rocks.
The campground is stunning and we hope to do a full video review on that soon.
