This little thing is a beast for finger drumming (realistic thru drum emulation)! I have a short play on my channel Works EXTREMELY well paired with AudioLayer on iOS I take it with me to work and will sit in car with Jurassic 5 playing on the radio and jam out for 10-15min, pack it up and roll Big BIG fan of M-vave! Got a Pad, Mixer, 2x chocolates and a wp-8 wireless guitar adapter. And the smk25 mini is next purchase with an smk25 ii on deck after that Im a complete fanboy, but these guys are on the forefront for mobile production

Yeah, and the blutooth has no percivable latency, especially on IOS 😀

@@tonykwok2451 they are definitely ‘tighter’ than I would prefer, but I don’t have any issues since developing a feel But I’m also unfamiliar with Good pads (I haven’t had opportunity to mess with a Maschine, MPC, or any of the $150 or greater priced 4x4s sadly (got a few I’m keeping eyes on. I had an mpk mini but it died about a year ago, and I never used the pads for drumming, this was prior to my deep dive into drum emulation on iOS Is it across the board issues or are there any ‘good’ (or better?) pads on your device to compare?

I'm finding the pads unplayable even on the soft setting. You have to hit them really hard compared to higher quality pads.

You said it can customize everything. Can you assign custom key commands to the pads ? example "ctrl+1 " to pad 1 ?

Everything musical. Like cc commands or note commands. This thing is not a keyboard.

I just got this controller and use ableton live as well but the transport controls don't seem to work. Have you found a way to use them?

Go on the second preset(press shift+pad2) and make sure you got mackiecontrol in your daw on port 3. This is the way your transport control buttons should work. Cheers!

So it seems I can't use the transport controls and pads at the same time since preset 2 changes the function to solo, select, and arm and the arrows don't seem to work either. I figured the transport controls didn't work wireless until I found Taetro's video recommending the use of MidiUtils. PS. I'm using iOS

For sure. You just need to set it up in ableton with the midi button, top right.

@@Marius_Tarceatu I've followed the same way as yours, in FL Studio I use Mackie Control Universal as my controller type. The issue is, I can't use its buttons like play, pause, and record...

@@drumocto9220Same problem in Logic and the app for the phone gives nothing. No support on it either. Thought my drumkit would line up on the pads.

Hi, does anyone (perhaps @M-VAVE www.youtube.com/@M-VAVE) knows how to make midi out work? I couldn't find any info either it is type A or type B. I tried both with no success. Have any one tried successfully use those PADS with external gear? btw. I am still impressed by the quality of this little thing, and thanks for review - it helped a lot. It is sad that manual is not deep enough to explain even basic things, but for that price and that quality - it's hard to complain too much:)

The Sinco Connector BT MIDI Connector only can connect one device, it found other M-WAVE devices but only one device is allowed to connect. Tested few Windows MIDI BLE connector apps, some can connect two M-WAVE devices like SMC-PAD and SMC-MIXER but cannot be mapped to DAW ( DAW not detecting any movement from M-WAVE MIDI devices ).

I have 3 devices. The smk ii, pad and mixer and they all connect. Make sure you configure them in your daw as well!

@@Marius_Tarceatu sorried, just restarted my PC, now able to connect SMC-PAD and SMC-MIXER with only Sinco Connector BT MIDI Connector already and DAW able to map as well, strange.

It can be connected to the iphone, but i don’t know the app so i can’t tell you for sure. It should be possible.
This went from bad to FREAKIN AWESOME!! The ANN app and some real cabs and now the TANK G PEE-YIMPS!
