Still, with all the aliens and other strange things going on in this series, you know what the more far fetched and unrealistic thing that ever happened in Alien Nation is? The fact that they had us believe that the USA government would allow for 250000 refugees to settle in the country.

This show definitely rocks and it's one of my favorite science fiction series.

It was an expensive show to make, thats why it was canceled.

Cost vs Profit. It is always the death of any show.

They didn't cancel it due to low ratings; it was budgetary reasons. Fox then took on new management who smartly greenlit the movies because they knew it still had ratings potential.

Albert's are the size they are because he's Binnaum, and the episode which showed the Binnaum Order, all there had the same large spot patterns like Albert (but not identical patterns). Female patterns tend to be closer to stripes (Susan) or small spots (Cathy) The patterns also appear to be hereditary, as George and Buck, and Susan and Emily each share that parent's pattern (more noticeable with George and Buck) The Eenos had spots which were less well-defined, and more grey in color, so I think it's safe to say that the patterns are inherited, and their social-strata/caste system is definitely based on those differences and similarities in pattern 👍👍👍👍

Now think: it took up to two hours to put the make up on. Do you think you can do that to child that can look like a four year old? The writers had Buck explore alternative options for a first generation immigrant kid to change his community for the better - philanthropy, politics, etc - but in the end settled on having him become a cop like his dad. That kind of thing is a common trope in copaganda, but for such an interesting show and character, it just felt to me like too trite a resolution.

Imo even a police officer can have a positive impact on their life around them especially when choosing a career path that focuses on more than just being on the streets. My ex boyfriend is one with focus on profiling. He does a lot for the world. Most probably more than you have ever done and will ever do.

If he works in profiling, I've probably had his testimony struck from multiple court records as racist pseudoscience.
