You are getting it on Saturday the 13th!!!!! You know what they say!! Never buy butter on a Saturday, especially the 13th, it will give you slippery fingers. We recently done a bmw track day and they gave us a choice of the F900, the RR and the R. We all chose the RR because it’s the best bike especially on track… but for us, on the road we prefer the R just for the comfort of longer rides. Pressing like really did help, pressed with feeling. They are a thing of beauty, the RR. Fabulous looking and engineering. Hope you enjoy it. Will be interested to know your opinion of the pros and cons from your single R. It's the race position I can't cope with these days.. for riding on the road. Enjoy your new bike feeling.

@@Baz1000r Pros, the engine. Even at it's restricted 8k rpm it feels stronger. Where the R feels like it's spinning up this feels like it's shoving you along. Best way I can describe it. QS, noticeable improvement, smoother and more positive. One of the first things i noticed was the lack of wind trying to remove my head. The screen is excellent. Cons (ish) Pegs take a bit of getting used to, my feet are still looking for the R's position. Lot of weight on wrists, literally a pain in traffic but I'll become accustomed again over time. Feels taller, stiffer and more top heavy, don't think there's a lot in it though. Would have been nice to have the option of keeping the DDC button on the left bar, RR has TC instead. Not as much use for the road. Also got to get used to the clipons after the leverage of the wider bars. Makes the RR feel slower to steer. All in all, more of a transition than anything radically different. The M with the ergo's of the R and this engine will be an absolute blast. (If you can deal with the wind)

@@Mancs1000r Agreed, R definitely makes more sense on the road, but i don't have any. I'm an idiot. Loved the ride home, sun, new bike, loads of interesting signs, vehicles, walls, fences etc. Funny how the warmer weather makes them so interesting isn't it? Looked at the track days on BMW's site. Was that the one you did? Do you think it was worth it? Only thing was, the circuits are all far enough away to need a passport.

​@Duncan McCombie fair play mate. You lucked out with the weather. Agree with all your points. I'm too small to notice anything with the pegs though. One bonus I guess. Haha So any bike is comfy for me. Its just the weight on your arms I can't do with. I only have my left collarbone, so hurts to begin with. PLUS MIDDLE AGED. I'm glad you love your new RR.
