I just saw the Milwaukee win on softer material and crumble with a hard one. Yes both are great. The cuts from Makita seem cleaner, on softer wood the power of the orbital function make to much vibration and therefore the cuts weren’t so clean.

Does the 36V model deliver more power to the cutting blade? or is it just more work time - for which Makita created exactly the same reciprocating saw as Makita XRJ05Z (DJR187Z) with only two batteries????

I don't think Makita will continue to develop 2 x18v platform. Now with XGT 40v seems like replace old 2 x18v. Normal 18v makita still develop. Not make any sense why it needs 2 x batteries to operate for hand hold power tools when makita release 2 x18v platforms.

I want to like Makita as an independent manufacturer and as innovators. But who the fuck thought slapping two batteries on any tool would bridge a gap they had? That person or group should do what Samurai did if they failed, gut yourself and put it on KZfaq. Such a terrible idea, yet they make a wheelbarrow and coffee maker and so much other cool stuff. But that 2 battery shit has clouded the company’s future, until 2 battery guy dies on his blade makita will suffer

@Zozo806
@Zozo806 3 жыл бұрын
actually its the better solution. If you are finished with the saw you can take off the two 5Ah and use it on a drill, impact, drywall gun, Jigsaw, orbital sander and any other one hand operated tool. While that 220 dollar brick is only good for like a hand full of tools like the trimmer, saws and miter but for most one hand operated tools its just to heavy. And you see, the two old 18V Makita Batterys are like a half second slower than a 12Ah 21700 High Output what is considered the Peak in right now Li Ion Technology. Milwaukee should be ashamed
@89dhvac

I wouldn’t say POS, but otherwise totally agree. I would never get into the Makita 18v line as long as tools requiring 2 batteries are a thing. With the exception of something like a lawnmower

@@chriscord6524 i bet you will love it in the future if Milwaukee will start to do a 18+18V to stay in competition. You know it and i know it that on two hand Equipment the time of 18Volts are coming to an end. Dewalt knows it, Ego, Makita knows it, Metabo HPT/Hitachi knows it. The only two big players that still remain on 21700 18V are Milwaukee and Bosch.

What video are you watching? Metal pipe Makita: 9.63 sec Milwaukee 12.4 sec Milwaukee (orbital) 12.3 sec He said the orbital will slow down *the start of your cut,* and the video clearly showed that it did. It was only 0.1sec faster overall. The fact that the M18 was that close on metal vs. a 36V saw is impressive enough in its own right. Quit being such a fanboi that you can't see clear numbers (and I say that as someone who owns only Milwaukee, M18 and M12).
