Also would like to add that the driver should never jump out in a tank v tank. Responding to new threats and facing armour/seeking hull down positions is vital to coming out on top!

The abrams gets 4 seats as well. My favourite position in a tank is the 7.62 gunner

I don't see anything offensive about your dad spitting facts. Also, compared to that fancy autoloading carousel of the T-72, the strong arms of a 20-something male powered by dip and ripped fuel won't jam or detonate if hit right.

@@MoiDawg Oh sweet, thanks for the reply! I've been playing on the BaD servers a lot and they've been good for a long time, but lately there's been less and less people using mics. Watching your videos it seems like mics/coms are pretty active, so might try out the potato fields server next time I play. :) Also, I love the eye in the sky videos! You do an awesome job, please keep making them!

There's an export variant which the Middle Eastern Alliance uses: T-72S. It doesn't have a Reflex ATGM as well as a bit different ammo load out (heavy on the frag rounds).

They should add the t90

@@MoiDawg thanks. What is the damage model in the game? Is it hit point based or are there actual armor values like in War Thunder?

@tgst 1 valid point but a turn off to armor in the game to me. In reality M1A2 and T-72B3 cant really pen each other frontally nor could infantry with direct fire ATGMs.

T72 is a very good, reliable tank, with a good gun. if they are equipped with the latest Russian optics, and modern ammo, they can go against the Abrams SEP2. Their weakness is armor protection and exposed ammo storage against American rounds. The T72 in Irag were export models with very old optics and out-dated ammo. Probably not the best trained crews, either.

This is not a regular old cold war T72, this is actually an upgraded T72b3 (2012) in this game, which has much better fire-control capability (with thermal gun sight) compared to the old export T72 form the 1980's, which didn't have a good fire control, let alone a thermal targeting sight. The Abrams has never fought against modern tanks yet. Of course even the upgraded T73b3 is still inferior in most other capabilities, but nonetheless it is still a serious threat on the battlefield if it gets close to an Abrams.

To reply to everyone who responded to his statement. My dad is a US tank commander and his friend plays squad with me who is also his gunner. Modern day tank battles usually end in one shot or two based on where the APFSDS hits. If Russia would go up against America in a tank on tank engagement the American M1a2 sepv3 would win easily based on the training of American crews and the advanced technology which increases survivability. Also the Russian T72 has a slower traverse rate and slower reload rate, the optic is also inferior in multiple ways. An Abrams platoon has 4 tanks split into 2 parts(battle buddies) allowing for continues effective fire over prolonged periods of time, even if after 5 shots the Abrams has to do an MRS update. In Al bash rash case the Abrams would use its superior fire and move capability over the T72 to our flank and destroy the tank. The t72's stabilizer also has a very high chance to burn out on large highly terrain. Additionally the missiles fired by the T72 break the firing mechanism hence why you don't see them used in modern conflict (also APFSDS is much better). Have a nice day!
