M20 Flywheel on M52

I converted the dual mass flywheel on the m52 to the m20 single mass flywheel. I also forgot to mention that you need an m20 starter with this setup.
Everything you'll need:
•M20 Flywheel
•M20 Flywheel bolts
•M20 Starter
•M20 Throwout bearing
•M20 Clutch and Pressure plate
•M52 Pilot Bearing
•M52 Clutch Slave
•M52 Flywheel (just for the plate on the transmission side)

I didn't know there was an spacer. On my last m50 I machined down my m20 flywheel, now I'm under high pressure and my car (m54) needs to be trackready before 15th of june and there are no workshops available to machine down my flywheel. You might just saved me.

Hey bro. I have been loving your videos and have been tossing up doing a turbo myself, but if I do not end up I will just be doing the m52b28 swap into my E30. My friend is further along in his swap, and he wants aircon in his build, I'm just wondering , at this point in your build, did you have aircon, and what fan did you use on the radiator, because he is struggling to find the right fan to fit, thankyou

I had read that a Throw Out Bearing of 323i euro was necessary for the single mass conversion, how does the 325i work? How does the pedal feel compared to the stock flywheel?

Good info man, I have a spare M20 flywheel and gearbox which might use eventually later on E36 328i auto. Did you use actually M20 starter from E34? Otherwise M20 starter is huge and won't fit on M52, we gotta transfer the driver gear or just buy new one - it is 15to30 dollars. (I found part number in some BMW forum)

thank you for watching! i used an m20 starter from an e30, 1987 325i, and i didn't have to do any modification. i do have a ZF trans though. should be the same though

ImJoel zf trans will not work with m20 starter

@@MarkyDGFX Trans and starter have nothing to do with each other. Starter tooth pattern has to match flywheel tooth pattern - M20 with M20, 24v with 24v.

Which plate are you referring to at the end of the video ? Are you referring to the spacer

I did the same on my m54 setup but the car won't start ,do I need to use the E36 starter ?
