Was on the way home from taking my wife to work because the roads were flooded bad enough that I didn't want her driving.

Solid video, great combination of deuce, flood driving, and humor. Glad to people appreciating what these trucks are able to do. They aren’t for everyone, but they definitely have their uses for the right people

Just keep hitting all the what seems like the 100 grease points after rolling through water. Run it once a week. If you drive daily especially in winter. Don't forget to drain the water out of the air tank.

Awesome video. That's my dream truck and I'm hoping I save up enough money soon to have one of my own. It would be cool if you keep making these kinds of videos with you truck.

I have 2 of them. The 1970 that I have hasn't been abused as much. I had it for sale last summer but a guy showed up to test drive it and the brake pedal went to the floor. So we didn't drive it. I told him that I can take him for a drive in my other one but it wouldn't be an accurate depiction of what this one is. I was asking $5,000 for it before the brake issue. I have all of the parts to fix it. Just have to get the extra time.

Ouch I bet that was eventful if it got moved and he went for the brake haha. Im here in Arizona.

Check out the steel soldiers forum online. They have a bunch of members. They also have a classified section with trucks, parts and tools for sale by members. It's $15 a year. They have the technical manuals posted on their site also.

I'll definitely look into that, thank you sir.

nice truck, wish mine was as clean as yours haha, what motor are u running, cummins or cat? doesnt sound like a multifuel to me
@KDuboutdoors194 жыл бұрын
It's a White multifuel. Non whistler turbo. Cranked up to the stupid level. With 5 ton of stone in the bed it doesn't care too much about hills. It's not all that clean. Its rusted and dented up. It's been abused. My 70 is alot nicer but it doesn't have the nuts this one does.

The M35A3-M109A4 (1993-1999) are the ones that actually have Caterpillar,which is the 6.6L 3116.The M35A2-M756A2 (1966-1988) all have the 7.8L Multi-Fuel,which would be the LDT-465,LT-465,and LDS-465 with a 1A,1B,1C,or 1D Turbocharger.However,with Cummins,the deuce and a halfs that were sent to the Brazilian Navy were retrofitted three decades ago with the 12V 6BT,but they still had the 7.8L before.Even in Canada,they have Detroit 6V-53's in those trucks,or they did.

I put a muffler on it so that you can carry on a conversation with a passenger. Walker muffler, cannot recall the part number.

When you say you have your LDT turned up to a stupid level, you just adjusted your fuel injection pump? I thought about doing that to my Deuce, but I don't want to do something I'll later regret if I did it wrong.
@KDuboutdoors193 жыл бұрын
It was like that when I got it. I bought it from one of my friends. I knew the truck for 10 years before I bought it. Donnie said that it runs good but the spare engine has more nuts. He had a separate truck that was rotted out but the drivetrain was good. Suspension was wore out in the spare truck enough that when we were offroading it through the woods we lost the rear axle out from under it. He went back through the woods with the skidsteer and forks to get it. If you are going to adjust the injection pump I would put a pyrometer in it first. I have one for mine but haven't gotten to installing it yet.

LOVE to have one of these, I dont know where I'd keep it, like a pickup truck on steroids. 18:39 I am okay going through water, but moving water, another story. Also, the bigger the truck, what if/when you get stuck, whose pulling you out?
@KDuboutdoors193 жыл бұрын
My friend Donnie that I bought it from has a BMY 5 ton. He's pulled it out before. If both are stuck I'm renting a piece of equipment.

Half mile to my left and there are no tracks, they have been taken out, tunnel has caved in and half mile to the right the bridge is out over the creek. It's been 20 years since a train has been on them.

That wasn’t very smart. The ambulance had to go across a double yellow into potentially head on traffic because you wanted to do a good deed. Glad you didn’t kill anyone.
@KDuboutdoors193 жыл бұрын
I was stopped for a while didn't know the ambulance was coming. It had to go around the Harrison county road crew that stopped behind me also to clear the tree/debris off the road. They go left of center when you pull over to let them pass also there einstein. 🖕

@2KCamaroZ28SS3 жыл бұрын
It's easier to see a big truck pulled over, than debris which could have rendered the ambulance inoperable, and thus, unable to get to where it was needed. Also, the medic didn't cross the double yellow blindly, I can assure you. "DUE REGARD"
