The best way I found to cut the stale diesel or Biodiesel shellac, Is lacquer thinner or Carb/choke cleaner. Brake cleaner, or parts solvent won't touch it. E85 gasoline will also dissolve it. TGP

wow the years of teaching you can give very nice , got one tough onefor you, on a 1982 6.2 3/4 ton 4wheel i want to drop oil pan and see if my oil pick up tube o ring in bad got low oil pressure and i guess put a new oil pump in too but not sure one what pump to buy thanks again sir

A fast search showed several brands available. Including GM. Oil psi is almost never a problem with the 6.? Unless cam, crank or rod bearings have been run dry. When you pull the pan, pull a main bearing or rod bearing cap to see how the bearings look. If copper is showing, figure on all new bearings.
