I am a Korean student who studies in the US. I used to live with my parents in the US, but they moved back to Korea a year ago. Apparently, Maangchi's English is better than my mom's, but how she talks is very similar to how my mom talks, and I love it so much! I feel like I am watching my mom cooking whenever I see your videos. Thank you so much for your videos Maangchi!!

My wife bought the noodles at the store and I was wondering how it's done as the picture on the packaging looks really delicious. Searching online and found this video. What better way than to learn a Korean dish than from a true Korean. I tried it out and it was amazing. I have 5 members in my family and cooked the whole pack. I must say that it was enough for about 8 people in case those of you who are unsure about the portions.

This was one of my favorite dishes when I was stationed in Korea from February 1976-June 1977 and June 1979-June 1980. When we lived in Atlanta my wife and I would go to a restaurant called Mirror Of Korea and the first time I ordered it I made the mistake of letting her try it. I started life out as an Army brat and I like foods from different cultures with Korean being one of my favorites. In Korea I liked going to restaurants where I could watch them cook and I learned a number of things. My grandmother cooked for a living and started teaching my siblings and I how to cook when we were in elementary school. If I cooked for a living I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much. Thanks for the videos. You seem like you have a wonderful personality and your smile just seals the deal.👍🏽

You cannot find good Japchae in every Korean Restaurant except you cook it by yourself at home like she did !! one of my favorite noodles menu !!

I almost ALMOST bought a bottle of "japchae sauce" in a bottle thinking it might be a complicated mixture. But this is all simple ingredients that I can find in my pantry. Thank you, ma'am!

I just made this for the first time, it was amazing like all of Maangchi's recipes! I'd advise people to double the ingredients though. At least in my gluttonous household it definitely didn't serve 4 (barely 2). For the work you put in, you'll be glad to have leftovers even if you ended up cooking too much!

Ever since I tried Yaki Mandu,Bulgogi ,Danmuji picketed Daikon radish.. I have been in love with Korean food since I was very young and fortunate enough to have a very beautiful and loving Korean girlfriend in high school named Wilhelmina who introduced me to her culture. I made this today and OMG it's sooooo good! I think I could eat this everyday forever! I'm a vegan so I used tofu instead of meat and a little kala namak for eggy flavor.

I made this for about 3 times. I really love this dish maangchi, so simple but delicious. There are korean grocery store near my house, so i can buy glass noodles and make a bowl of japchae anytime😍
