I never got into mine that far. What a crazy design. I want to say that my particular model also had a manual oil pump. If I can recall, it was a wire lever, kinda like coat hanger and it worked well. I remember it being a pretty spicy saw

good tip on the toothpick tip. I have never thought about that. You know what is the worst, is small electronics like a phone. They have tiny screws and then sometimes they have 2 or 3 different lengths. Put one of the long ones in the wrong spot and you bottoming out somewhere you shouldn't be!

$140/hr! That is crazy stuff. I have never put something a shop before small engine wise. I would be Shocked if that was what I was quoted on a vehicle, but hey, I am in rural Oklahoma!

Good stuff…have a few of these. I haven’t worked on them due to the 10lbs in a 5lb bag…..

Yep, thats my thought. Relegated to a toy or decoration. I have to talk to the owner about that because he wants to put it in his fleet... I am the only guy around that will touch it in the case of repairs and parts are not easy to get ahold of compared to a modern saw.

That filter is supposed to have flocking on it….just an fyi. I’ve glued the vent filters from Home Depot on similar old wire flock filters-use moto seal very carefully on the screen after wire wheeling it. Works when you can’t find a decent flocked, “vintage” filter. Not optimal, but it works. I agree, guy would be better off with a knock off top handle, than that one.

I had one of those at one point. Scary saw buddy. Mine had like a 16" bar on it and vibrated your hands to death. Used it couple times but part of the proceeds of selling this saw purchased my 620P. Hey sir, can you shoot me an email? My address in my my about page buddy.. Thanks and another good video!
