Macbook Air A1466 Not Charging I/O Board Replacement

Symptoms:
Macbook not charging.
Macbook charger light not coming on.
Macbook shuts off as soon as you disconnect the charger.
Other things you can try first:
New power adapter.
Battery replacement.

Thank you for your instructions! I replaced the I/O Board as you demonstrated and now my MacBook Air 2015 works and charges.

What was it doing wrong before? I’m thinking of replacing the i/o board. Basically, what myne does is: laptop worked perfectly, didn’t use it in 1-2 months, now, it just shows orange light when i plug in in charging adapter, and won’t do anything when i try to power it on.

Just repaired the broken laptop of my sister with this video in 15mins! Thx alot for the clear instructions... The repair shop(not apple) tried to repair this and gave it us in a not functioning state back with a bill of 400EUR (claiming it was working)... really... respect mate! cheers!

This was very helpful but unfortunately, it did not fix the no charging issue. The battery and power adapter were replaced first so this was the last option. If you have any advice that I may not have tried yet, please let me know.

Yes I am, sorry for the late response. All aftermarket chargers for mac laptops are crap! Not worth it...had every single one burn out. So I only use the authentic Apple chargers..

Can you give me some advice please? I got my macbook air 2015, wich i did ‘t use in almost 2 months. And now it won’t turn on anymore. I get an orange light from the charger when connected and that’s it. Any ideea?

Have you tried holding down the power button? And then pushing it again?

@@LionTechX yes, tryed that. Discone trd battery too. I don’t know what else to try. And i ain’t got the money to try out a new macbook
