@@deardaisyy off course ... according to apple anything thicker then 0.01mm between screen and keyboard can damage the screen....I was also so tempted to buy the keyboard cover. ...but then I didn't .... I just use it carefully....btw congratulations on getting ur mac ...

Try not to use a case. It damages the hinge and may break it, although it seems protective, it can hurt the MacBook. Also, if you do, try not to use a camera cover as it can cause cracks across the screen. If the webcam is activated, a light will show up beside it.

Btw also don't use keyboard cover because it can also damage the screen. Macbooks are not ment for that. Space between screen and keyboard is made so it can perfectly close without touching each other. The moment you put silicon cover that space is gone. Altough silicon cover "covers" keyboard, the dust will come underneath it weather you like it or not 😃. My advise is to remove it. Also @yesiwoeairhf made a good point about case. I would like to add that the case may cause you mac to overheat. Although air doesn't have vents it still produces heat when you use it, and when you put case on it it will produce even more heat. So just keep that in mind. If you want to protect your mac from scratches i would recommend you get a dbrand skin. But hey thats just my opinion and advice and you dont' need to take it. I use protective cases on various Macbooks since 2013 and it never happened.

I got the starlight one yesterday, it is really pretty. As soon as I opened mine, it turned on with a loud sound and made me jump.

congrats for it even i have the same laptop in silver.. try avoiding case and keyboard protector as it might make the key board jam later and case will add a dent to the sides just like it did to mine..

öncelikle güle güle kullan.ama bildiğime göre mac'ler herhangi bir ekipman kullanımı önerilmeyen bilgisayarlar.bu yüzden hiçbirini satın almadım ve gerçekten de kolay zarar gören cihazlar değiller,uzun yıllar kullanıma dayanıklılar.bu arada ben de starlight kullanıyorum ve space gray almadığım için pişman olduğum çok oldu ama zaman zaman starlightın daha benlik hissettirdiğini de düşünüyorum her neyseee hayırlı olsunn💜🖤

Merhaba ben de aynı modelden almayi planliyorum 1-2 gün içerisinde. Arastirirken videona denk geldim. Yasadigim ulkede macbook kullanimi cok az. O yuzden tereddutlerim var. Windows kullanicilarina belge gonderip alirken yazilarin kaydigina dair birkac sey gördüm. Bunu cozmek icin ne kullaniyorsun? Microsoft office programlarini satin almali miyim yoksa mac in kendi yazi programi yeterli olur mu? Bu arada calisma masani cok begendim yeni mac in de hayirli olsun 😊

Love it! Don’t listen to all the hate about the keyboard cover and hard shell case. Yes Apple in the past years ago had made a statement about the keyboard Protectors and cases but that was years ago. I have always used them and never had any issues and I have the same Mac as you! Also the Apple Store sells the hard case covers for all MacBooks lol. So don’t worry!

I don't recommend at all the keyboard protector cuz it could damage the screen, it's not designed to have something in between the keyboard and the display

Facts you cannot play your laptop while charging otherwise the battery will worn out unless you willing to pay extra when the battery life about to come to an end

merhaba :) videonun altına bu kadar karşı yorum geleceğini düşünmemiştim. ama şöyle bir durum var eğer kılıf kullanmak doğru bir durum değilse neden apple da kendi koruyucu kılıflarını satsın. bence benim gördüğüm bir çok kişi koruyucu kullanıyor yıllardır. bende hala kullanıyorum ve gayet memnunum.

I alway have about 400GB free space on my 512GB drive, so pretty sure 256GB is very durable. Not everyone stores game on their laptop. I don't even store music/video anymore since I can store them all in the cloud without issue streaming back on devices.
