Great video, Peter.. Got me through this process easily , I appreciate your approach here..thank you! TIP for those doing this..even though these computers are now old When you get to the stage of actually removing the old keyboard….use a medium sized standard screwdriver with a longer stem so you get control and leverage..and, important: resist the urge to rip it out after popping a few of these plastic rivets..do each key, one at a time with the screwdriver..take your time..all the rivets will come out and you won’t have to use a drill

Excellent video - was really helpful to have someone along for the ride as I replaced my keyboard. Luckily I managed to 'chisel' out my rivets with a flat head screwdriver - so no drilling required.

I recently broke my keyboard lights while fixing some water damage in my MacBook and was wondering if it's even worth replacing. The computer works fine without them but I do miss them.
