Having a strange issue with my mac m1 air, my mouse and external drives work fine in both usb c ports when I plug my charger in there's no charge at all ?

Can you help me? Idk if it’s my port or not. Top doesn’t work but bottom will charge after a few min plugged in. When I remove the usbc it is showing an Icon to plug 🔌 on my battery even if it’s at 100. What should I do?

Hello all, I am hoping to get some help here. I have a Macbook Air (2020) M1. I recently replaced the logic board and the fingerprint sensor. The repair went well and computer is working as it should now HOWEVER, the battery now shows "Service Battery" and macbook is NOT charging. The cycle shows only 57 and macbook is fairly new so not sure what happen. I have heard that on new iphones, it will give you an error message when replacing batteries but this isnt the case on my macbook. All i did per logic board replacement instructions is disconnect battery internally and thats all. Any help will be greatly appreciated as the normal SMC reset procedure will NOT work on this macbook (shift+option+contro+power for 10 secs). When I try this method, the macbook turns on after 4-5 secs of me holding down all 4 buttons.

Hey dude, just saw this and I'm actually facing a similar problem where the battery doesn't charge but then the fan runs in full speed and also, after running apple diagnostics, it shows that the battery is not detected. And when this problem happens, if I press under the laptop to where the battery board data cable is connected, like anywhere near it, it fixes itself. Can you help me out with this? Also, I have noticed that when this problem happens, and the laptop is shut down, it will not turn back on because of course, it doesn't detected the battery and I have to use the power cable. Also, when this happens, I won't be able to see any of the information regarding the battery such as the battery health, the cycle count, the percentage itself. So isn't this clearly a faulty battery data cable? Can we not just replace that wire alone instead of replacing the entire motherboard suggested by Apple?

If it’s liquid damage , does it need to be replaced asap? Or can it just be left like that and use it without any problem on longterm?

change it honestly if you can because I had the same problem in the end it will damage other components

hi man i have same trouble, but after replace typeC connectorts present strange situation. First power up normal 5V then 20, battery starts charge. When i send mac to reboot\power off in last S5 moment power tester show me Over Load and charge stops. It scence was once, in other trys charge didnt start. If i disconnect battery indication OL against after reboot or poweroff. I replace new 2 CD3217B - dont fix. ISL9240HI - dont fix this. No damages on board, no shotrs, so what it can be?

Hey man, love ur vids! I got a little situation on deck. My brother spilled half a glass of tap water on my Mac book m1 pro. It got all over the keyboard and even through the cap/vent near the screen. It's been working ever since but for safety measures i used a hairdryer (on no heat) to remove some of the water and than than closed the laptop and turned it upside down for 48 hours. (it was turned of when it was upside down). Even though the laptop works like before the incident happened i'm still worried. I have a 1 year care pakaged and i could take it to the apple store but since the mac works i don't know if it's wise to do so. The only problem that i've been noticing since the incident was my charger randomly not charging so i had to plug it out and plug it in again to make it charge.

Hi man. I have the M1 Macbook Pro and it wasn't charging after it switched off. I put it on charge overnight and it juiced up to 24%. It finally turned on but now it completely isn't charging at all. What could be the problem?

Maybe I have an interesting case: Macbook Pro M1 Only starts if plugged in, but once started I can unplug the charger and it continues running. There is an X in the battery symbol. Clicking on the symbol ... Power Source: Battery (plugged and unplugged) System Information > Hardware > Power: No entries except: The battery’s charge is below the warning level: Yes Fully Charged: No Charging: No State of Charge (%): 1 Cycle Count: 0 Condition: Service Recommended Maximum Capacity: 91 % Diagnostics did not run for several tries (Power adapter not connected, but it was), but after the last update it continued after a while: Reference Codes: PPT001 (The battery was not detected) Genius Bar Technician opened the Macbook, disconnected and connected the battery, but without findings. The Macbook has no liquid damage or any other damage. After the first day of these symptoms, they have been gone on the second day (charging battery from 70% to 100%), the third day these symptoms came back and stayed. So Battery should be OK. Do you have any idea?
