"Shahin Najafi - Beshmar" is his best song so far for many who follow his works especially after the protests last year and death of 1500 Iranians on streets by the Islamic regime.

Illusory and provocative are definitely some words correctly chosen for the reaction, either ways people tend to exaggerate too much about him, but he is really good in art, or better say he was.

Najafi is a singer critical of religious backwardness, superstition, and political tyranny. Terms can only be understood by an Iranian, and the terms and customs are specific to Iranian culture. Some songs have been threatened with death by the government.

He insults the sacred in his songs, including this one. And in my opinion, insulting the beliefs and sacredness of the people, whether right or wrong, is a shameless act.
