Search South Bronx on KZfaq and you'll get a lot of "New York's Most Dangerous Hood" or "Worst Hood" videos. Go to the South Bronx and you'll find bursting neighbourhoods with incredible restaurants, especially Puerto Rican joints. Lechonera La Piraña may be the best place to eat Lechon in all of New York or America. The owner, Angel Jiminez is a machete weilding master of Roast Pork who makes everyone feel welcome and makes sure everyone is well fed. Unless you can jump a flight to Guavate to ride the famous Pork Highway in Puerto Rico, this is your ticket to pig heaven near Mott Haven.

I’m from Puerto Rico, and it’s so cool to see people from other countries enjoying our food. Also, pronouncing alcapurria can be pretty difficult. 😅 The “rr” has a sound that’s not in the English pronunciation. It’s almost like the sound of a firing machine gun or a growl.

I used to eat at La Isla Cuchifritos yrs ago. It was excellent then one day I notice the food was off. The next time I ordered from them, talking to them, they said they were different owners. I don't even think they were Puerto Rican. The food was off again and haven't went back. This was about 9/10yrs ago. Did they sell it back? New owners? It was so good then it was not.

The lechonero guy was a bit unhinged, loco, imo. The kola can is not from PR. That Malta India you drank is from PR. At the cafeteria with alcapurrias the guy on the left is not PR. Pastelillo pronounced with a "yo" at the end not a pastelito sound at the end. Good vid in general.
