So there's been a Human Predator but what about a Predator Human? :^) Just some Yautja working a day job in a suburb, struggling to not go off the rails and kill fools.

I read the Omnibus containing most, if not all, her comics. I even read the novelization of the first comic and my favorite moment was when the Predator tore open her shirt to bandage a wound only to find a couple "mounds" on her chest which he concluded to be mammary glands for the young. That was when he realised that he was fighting with a female human.

3:17 Have to correct you here. Shorty was often bullied by the larger hunters of the group due his height. He took his frustrations out on Machiko and stole a kill from her during the said raid on a Xenomorph nest. She retailiated by saving his life shamed him in front of their fellow hunters. When she had to fight Shorty for the right of joining the hunters on traditional hunting grounds, one of her fellows pullled her leg during fight in the ring. Shorty got his chance and beat her. The captured queen was used to spread eggs on the hunting grounds, so the local wildlife would become host for the Xenomorph parasites. The planet the clan was heading to has been colonized recently and when the hunters arrived, Machiko witnessed some hunters killing unarmed colonists. This was the point, where she decided to turn on the clan. Later when she joined up with the marines and her old clan, she ended up surrounded by Xenomorphs along with some Hunters. Her friends arrived with an aircraft in order to save her. She had to decide, that she either fight alongside the hunters to die in glory like the code demands or to live on with her friends. When she chose the latter, the chief burned away the mark on her forehead with an acid smeared blade.

I loved this video. I wish they had used this character in the Aliens vs Predator beat'em up but as I understand, Capcom didn't have the rights or license to use her as a playable character

I had a dream that a male human became part of a warrior predator clan and earn great respect because he killed a dozen Xenomorpths with melee combat and the predators offered him armor and weapons and a female Predator wanted with mate him to produce strong offspring. Yeah It sounded a lot better in my head

I remember when this storyline first started, I had one of the first,"Aliens vs Predator", comics. You're a really good storyteller, and more tales like this one would be great for the channel. Genius Video.

I really did like the idea of Machiko more than the comics themselves, because I felt her humanity made her weak. She let the bigoted yautja get under her skin too much. I wanted a stronger character that could prove herself better, she was never a true Predator, because she took honor away form the others too frequently over the course of her storyline. She needed to be more self-sufficient, and while she certainly demonstrated how self-sufficient she was, she wanted too much to be included more and let herself get caught up in yautja drama.

I've always loved the idea of a human earning the respect of the Predators, and enjoyed this video a lot. Although I've always wondered what would happen if a human infant was adopted and raised as a Predator. The same goes for a baby Predator raised by humans (although I'm pretty sure it would turn out as a solider, and all that stuff of skinning prey and collecting skulls is just their culture, not their instincts).

read all the books when I was a kid. Great character, wish Fox hadn't fucked up this story in the first AVP movie.

I read the book of her when she broke away from the predators. After the match between her and "Shorty," the others went and hunted humans and one of the predators killed a high ranking company employee that had an android body guard. The body guard later killed his masters killer by bringing down his elbow on that predator's neck right before the android went offline.

her story would make such a great movie. Why the studio hasn't adapted this yet ? pretty damn sure it'd be a success.

I read these books as a teen in the 90's.... still better than anything lately. Alien goo is a narcotic... you can write an entire saga with that theme alone.

that was the first AvP comic book series i read when i heard they were making the avp movie i was hyped i thought it was going to be this series . the story we got was ok but would have been awsome if they had got to film the comic story. any way another great review thumbs up man.

I really dig her tenacity, and what a strange, but awesome bout with the Yautja's she had... Thank you for this video, I feel she doesn't get enough lime light, so this made my day!!

What do I think? I think the notion of a human beating a Predator in "hand-to-hand" combat, no matter how skilled, is pure nonsense. The concept of the character is cool, but the mentioning of her "beating a Predator in hand to hand combat" threw me off.

I remember reading one of the comics where she hadn't integrated yet or learned they're ways and she tried being friendly and smiled at the Yautja. They thought she was insane or crazy because they thought she was being aggressive, showing her teeth to them. Don't remember the issue specifically, I've slept since then; but I remember thinking it funniest thing in the world at that time.

I had briefly heard of Machiko before; but it was nice getting a full detail delve into her story. This would totally make a great movie for the franchise.

I remember back when I was 9, seeing the Alien vs Predator books in stores. I red the first two books and only the beginning the third. Because of this I was well versed in knowing Machiko and the possibility of a human predator.....which is why when the first movie came out I was screaming mad about a unblooded blooding himself, not killing himself once a facehugger got him and just countless other wrongs. Loved your video and I so enjoyed the trip down memory lane of this great characters joury

Sounds like fanfiction to me. Predators do not associate themselves with other species.

Brilliant again man, even though my main interests are the alien franchise, but predator is a very close second.... and I had all the graphic novels as a kid but never really got it . Bear in mind it was around 90-92ish so this all makes sense from when I was a small kid!! Many thanks bro
