usually gear pumps are reserved for high end commercial machines. this VBM is a gem especially at the price point.

Actually, according to John Buckman and Dave Corbey, the pressure profiling by flow is more consistent than profiling by time. Though the contact time at a given pressure is different, but the contact liquid at a given pressure is consistent.

Wish more machines could stop shots by weight.

It is not as simple as just the weight during extraction. Too many factors need to consider. Sometime it's not idea to stop by weight

@@CaffeMartellaSingapore Pulling repeatable shots seems almost as frustrating as rocket science (or titration)... Your special distribution tool and tamper look like they'd help though.
