Mackerel Steam Fry is a traditional recipe made with Turmeric leaves. In this recipe, mackereals or bangda are marinated with a spice mix, wrapped in Turmeric leaves and steam cooked. The aroma and taste of turmeric leaves enhances the flavors of mackerels and adds to the taste of the dish
Here's the recipe from my kitchen to yours.
Note : tsp is teaspoon
tbs is tablespoon
Ingredients:
3 Mackerels
2 Tbs Red Chilli Powder
2 Tbs Kokum Water ( 4 -5 Kokums soaked in water for 15 mins)
A Pinch Of Cinnamon
1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder
1/2 Tsp Coriander Powder
1/4 Tsp Black Pepper Powder
1 Tsp Salt For Marination
1/4 For Marination Paste
7-8 Turmeric Leaves
Preparation Time : 15 - 20 mins
Marination Time : 30 mins
