"Unforeseen results in French parliamentary elections" It was easily foreseeable a week before the second round of elections. French voters and parties united to prevent a Le Pen/far-right victory... They put together a "New Popular Front"... so Alex M's hopes of a far-right pro-Russian control of the French assembly have been dashed. FR People don't like Fascists plain & simple.
@JohnJohnson-n3n

"Macron Chaos France Hung Parliament" Actually they have provisions in the French Constitution for a coalition government and Macron could always appoint a technocratic government, so Alex M's points and nonsense about "Chaos" and "Panic" really have not much place in reality. Macron's gamble succeeded: he managed to shake up French politics and his party emerged with the balance of power and 2nd in the assembly

It absolutely took place on voting day. I live in Atlanta. 1 of 6 states where dems used universal mail in ballots to cheat. In fulton county on election night a fake pipe burst... they kicked out the poll watchers and began wheeling suitcases if paper ballots. Georgia hadn't gone democrat since 1992. Not even obama won Georgia in his 2 terms. Google what happened here in 2020. Immediately after the state got voter id with signature verification pushed thru. The court has the video of the women and the ballots have magically disappeared. The state is required by law to keep them for a certain number of years. The dems are desperate to hold power..

Claims by Ukrainian officials that Russia deliberately attacked civilian targets in Kiev on Monday are “absolutely untrue,” the Defense Ministry in Moscow has stated. The Ukrainian capital was rocked by a series of powerful explosions earlier in the day, according to numerous videos published by local media. Civilians on the ground were reportedly injured. The Russian military confirmed firing a barrage of long-range missiles on Monday, but stressed that it was targeting military factories and airfields in Ukraine. “Claims by representatives of the Kiev regime alleging a purportedly deliberate Russian strike on civilian sites are absolutely not true,” the statement said. “Numerous photos and videos from Kiev irrefutably confirm destruction by a Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile, which was fired by a launcher positioned inside the city,” it stated. - RT

Following Viktor Orbán's recent visit to Moscow to see Vladimir Putin the secretary general of NATO Jens Stoltenberg was asked what the visit said about the state of unity in NATO. (Ursula von der Leyen has described the visit as an act of appeasement.) He gave a hesitant reply drawing on a well worn sound bite. Stoltenberg suggested that all NATO members must agree that Russia is the aggressor and Russia is responsible for the war and that Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty must be respected. It seems from this that NATO members are not allowed to deviate from the chosen line. What happened to the coalition of the willing. How convenient of him to keep things simple. Stoltenberg talked about responsibility a quantity in short supply amongst Western politicians. Someone needs to face off with Stoltenberg and open up a can of worms but I don't think he'll want to go there.

Zelensky didn't try to prevent the conflict through diplomacy because he lacks honor and integrity. In 2014 there was a coup. Soon after, there was a massacre in Odessa (dozens of people were burned alive). Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. A civil war broke out due to the rise in ethnic tensions. For 8 years the Ukrainian military was indiscriminately shelling civilians living in Donbas. If Zelensky honored the Minsk agreement and pledged neutrality, none of this would have happened. The 8 year civil war would have ended and Donbas would have remained part of Ukraine. War is the ultimate failure of diplomacy. Zelensky, Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande admitted that Ukraine had no intention to honor the Minsk agreements. Who didn't want peace? Who advised against the 2022 peace talks in April? Hint: someone visited Zelensky in Kiev at that time Russia's national security was compromised once NATO began to expand eastwards. Russia clearly stated that Ukraine joining NATO was a red line (November 2021) and unfortunately this concern was never taken seriously. The Russians openly stated: if nothing changes, we will be forced to act in order to defend our national security. Enhancing the national security of one country at the expense of another is unacceptable. The Russians have legitimate security concerns. 20th September, 2021. Ukraine launched military drills with US and NATO NATO is not a defensive alliance. NATO illegally bombed Yugoslavia (a direct violation of the U.N. Charter). We should never forget what they did to Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq etc. Who blew up the pipeline causing an environmental disaster? Zelensky banned all opposition and arrested a leading priest. Zelensky tried to invoke article 5 under false pretenses. Remember the incident in Poland. Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. Poroshenko said, “Our children will go to schools and kindergartens-theirs will hide in the basements”. Russians will never forget the 2014 Odessa massacre. The whole world needs to know about it. Why was Denis Kireev eliminated? He was a member of Ukraine's negotiating team during the peace negotiations. He wanted to help his country. Ukraine has a hit list. They target artists, journalists and ordinary citizens. Hundreds of children are on this list. 13 year old Faina Savenkova was placed on this list. Pink Floyd's Roger Waters is on this list. Jimmy Dore (American stand-up comedian, podcaster) and Aaron Maté (Canadian writer and journalist) are on this list. There is evidence that Ukrainian troops have been indiscriminately shelling civilians in Donbas (they used petal mines and targeted areas where there was no military presence). The azov troops trapped in the azovstal steelworks in Mariupol used human shields. They refused to allow civilians to leave despite of humanitarian corridors being present. Russia held a proposed cease fire in order for the civilians to leave, but azov would not allow the civilians to leave. Ukraine has committed many acts of terrorism (car bombs and other forms of assassination). Darya Dugina (journalist) R.I.P. The first terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed the truck driver and the individuals in the adjacent car (innocent civilian victims). The second terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed two parents and severely injured their young daughter. I have done a lot of research and it took me a long time to write this comment. I have stated a lot of facts and I have given my honest opinion. I have provided a brief summary of events that took place. In order to explain this whole situation in great detail, a book would need to be written. Hopefully someone will write an UNBIASED book, stating facts and allowing the readers to form their own judgments. Everything I said can be fact checked and verified.

The French electoral system uses the tried and tested divide and conquer strategy to divide and weaken French voters as and when required by it's ruling/ political class designers to retain their power and control. @abuseofmainstreammediacanh5713
@abuseofmainstreammediacanh5713 13 күн бұрын
It's actually not as complicated as you think. ALL candidates are running in the first round of voting. Given the large number of parties, there are usually a lot of candidates among whom the votes are distributed. In rare cases, a candidate wins an absolute majority (over 50% of all votes) and is therefore considered elected. Usually no candidate has that many votes and there is a second round of voting. In the second round of voting, it is common for candidates with no chance of winning to withdraw their candidacy and make a recommendation to their voters about who they should vote for. The decision is therefore almost always made in the second ballot. How so? I would argue that the results are actually fair, because ranked choice voting, which I think is fair, would've produced the same (or very similar) results. Many of the far-right supporters are simply anti-Macron. The far left would've been their 2nd choice. The Macron supporters are strongly against the far right and would likewise pick the far left as their 2nd choice. So the far left winning the most seats make sense

When it comes to the election of the president, the second round of elections is fought out between the 2 candidates with the most votes.
@LanaLender
@LanaLender 13 күн бұрын

Le Pen like Meloni is pro EU, pro Nato , pro Euro and their deputies love to earn their keep as EU parlamentarian. So if you think that RN would change anything fundamental in France, you couldn't be more wrong. As for immigration, if that is your main concern, they cannot challenge Shengen, European treaties overule national legislation, any EU law supercedes any French law, therefore nearly every single point of their program on the subject is impossible to implement ( and they know it, but they lie) as long as France is part of the EU. There are only two parties in France that could change things fundamentally, get France out of the EU, get back the control over its currency, borders and sovereignty. But these parties are denied air time in the medias and regularly demonized in the MSM ( UPR and Les Patriotes ). Lastly, if the "system" ( EU, Euro, Nato) was at any risk by the RN or the Left, rest assured that Macron would never ever have dissolved the parliament. The truth is that this opposition is mostly "cosmetic", they do disagree deeply on societal and social issues sure, but on strategic matters they are all aligned and "under control".

"Cut a liberal and a fascist bleeds", goes a saying I only started hearing a few years ago. This being the case, if the French people are offered a choice between Le Pen and Jean-Luc Melenchon after the first round of Presidential voting in 2027, the so-called centrists (actually neoliberal centre-right) who support Macron, although they will be a depleted demographic due to the social trends produced by austerity, inflation and pan-European decline caused by US neo-colonialism over the continent) will mostly vote for Le Pen over Melenchon - liberals always tending to vote for the fascist rather than the socialist or the Marxist if they can't force the socialists to vote for the pro-austerity liberal, hence the saying. Just like the British Lib-Dems threw their credibility and most of their MPs away by choosing a coalition with the Tories instead of with New Labour in 2010. Mind you, much depends what happens before then, in terms of the Ukraine war ending, and the NATO-loyalists having to cope with the electoral consequences of being discredited on the entire question of NATO and relations with the USA. It's possible that Melenchon and the National Rally will vote together for peace with Russia and partial withdrawal from NATO, in the respectable De Gaullist tradition, changing the French political landscape running up to the next Presidential election, and further undermining the pro-NATO centre and strengthening Melenchon's position, or alternatively creating a pro-NATO centrist backlash which will return Macron or a conventional conservative to power. In either case, Le Pen's victory is anything but assured.

Russia has found evidence that Ukraine has violated the Chemical Weapons Convention, a top military commander stated on Monday. Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, who leads Russia’s chemical and biological defense forces, said that the engineering troops discovered a laboratory that was apparently used to produce hydrogen cyanide - an extremely dangerous and highly toxic agent that had been used as a chemical weapon during World War I. The facility is located near Avdeevka, a fortified Donbass town liberated by Russia in February, the general said. The improvised laboratory itself was found inside a partially partially destroyed building in an industrial area, which also had a chemical processing plant. The facility had a rotary evaporator and several chemical reactors. Protective clothes, including US-made gas masks and Polish hazmat suits, were found on the site. According to Kirillov, the samples taken from the facility and analyzed in Russian military laboratories contained traces of sulfuric acid and sodium cyanide, which can be used to produce hydrogen cyanide. Traces of cyanide anions - poisonous chemical compounds of the cyano group - were on multiple equipment, the general said. - RT

"Hydrogen cyanide is used commercially for fumigation, electroplating, mining, chemical synthesis, and the production of synthetic fibers, plastics, dyes, and pesticides. " So this "evidence" is pretty weak beer. Its akin to the dual-use stuff that the UN was bothering Saddam about , at a time when he really had no useable chemical weapons. (cont.) "The improvised laboratory itself was found inside a partially partially destroyed building in an industrial area, which also had a chemical processing plant. " suggests that the lab was part of a chemical processing plant and likely being used for commercial purposes...certainly all this blather by the RU general "proves" exactly nothing... Did he reference any captured documents. NO. Did he reference any human sources about the function of this "lab" NO... This type of stuff really isn't "evidence" of anything without some context not supplied by the post...

It wasn't a school. It was a children hospital. Schools dont stay open in summer anyway.

It'll be interesting to find out what the actual targets of the strikes were and if this is perhaps the Russian response to the strike in Crimea as this was unusually in broad daylight in Kiev. Maybe where NATO specialists are adapting the missiles/bombs for Ukrainian aircraft etc? Then again, this might be their message for the NATO summit and the real response is yet to come...

I'd stay away from the Olympics no matter what, they have been politicized, and have wandered from the intended goal of promoting sports and sportsmanship among all nations of the world!
