With the final stage of the Macroom Bypass project set to open next month , here is a video timelapse of what was one of the most challenging sections of the route .At 30m deep and nearly a Km long the big cut goes deep into the mountain in Sliabh Riadhach .

There'd be a revolt if they tried . Saying that i, ts only a matter of time before the Jack lynch tunnel gets tolled IMO

The town centre was choked and business was actively avoiding it due to congestion
