Problem with movie is you may have to make changes and drop certain things that would turn the movie into a train wreck. For example live action star blazers was colossal disappointment Probably least problematic is for Amazon or Netflix to pickup live action series

Same. Looking at them in fighter mode in this video's with an adult's eye and the Veritech looks awfully back heavy.

The FB-111 Aardvark had similar variable-sweep wings, and its underwing stores did rotate with the sweep changes.

...Relax Marty, true ...Yes. Butt I feel true, Dr.Phobos understands that small details, the little things are usually what annoys or breaks the immersion in a otherwise great story & film. The more realistical small things there can be in a seemingly irrelevant pasts/background, the peripheral of focus, core of the story, and plot etc, the camera shot, the audio, as a nod to mundane reality of aspects of minor details within existence and creating a strong plot, the more plausible the otherwise incredulous science-fantasy apsects can become from erstwhile dilligence in details, making the difference between an okay film, a good film or a great film. Such as the in military and aviation life, those details Are important, and there are methods, procedures and common conventions in alerting and informing air-crew/pilots of them. Similarly in tactical scenes, you don't have the troops milling around as if they were shopping in a supermarket, on a battlefield, unless it is a really really bad film.

If you want the feel of being in OG Robotech, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robotech:_Battlecry has that feel. It uses the cell shading that was just becoming popular to hide the CGI deficits and make it feel more like watching anime at the same time. Even has that wonderful feeling when you get to do anime missile bursts. At the same time, you get the actual threat concerns of being a veritech pilot that needs to be cautious and skilled.

Because the valkyrie form is for speed. In the time it would take to hover to position, they would have already launched. Then you have to get multiple jets out. A dozen pilots coordinating the same small space to get elevation and vector away, or they can scramble behind each other with a smaller forward profile.

@@bryanwoods3373 True, but take into account they have to be brought up on an elevator to the flight deck to take off, rather than, say, opening a series of doors on the sides and letting them step out, convert in-air, and dart off. Then it's more like paratroopers jumping out of an airplane than launching 4 fighters off a carrier, putting 4 more up, launching them, and repeating until you're empty.
