Hi Mary...Hey I have the microderm abrasion machine (Trohpy Skin) too and no longer use it...just sitting on my shelf because my skin at 61 yrs old has gotten much better:) I wonder if one of the Glitzy Fritzy Family members would like to have it? I have used it may 6-9 times and it looks brand new! Let me know if you have someone that may want it... You're colors are gorgeous again today Mary:)

Fritziness always cracks me up! 🤣 I could hear the difference in the two products when you were putting the lids back on. For lack of a better word, the DermaE sounded much more grittier (is that even a word?🤷🏻‍♀️) than the Mad Hippie! I’ve sorta moved away from scrubs & have been doing more enzyme masks to help with exfoliation. I love the Papaya one from Elemis (came in a FFF box a couple years ago)! But I do like both lines & have products from each that I really like! Hope you have a great weekend!

I could also hear the grittier grittiness of D E! I use The Ordinary 'Vampire Peel' as it does the same thing without feeling like I'm putting little shards & buffing my face with.

I love that you are 1 of the ONLY YTrs who EVER talk about these 2 brands! It bothers me, in a way, bcz I’ve asked some others if they’d be interested in reviewing some of them and their ingredients, and, well, 1 of their answer was, “That brand's not on my Radar”, and it makes me happy in other ways bcz that YTr is no longer on MY radar. So guess whose opinions and thoughts I enjoy being aligned with! Lol 😂

I just bought the Mad Hippie microdermabrasion yesterday and am happy I found your video! I think the Mad Hippie works more as a chemical exfoliate, so that may be why it doesn't feel as gritty. I'm going to go try it right now 😄

I have finally been applying sunscreen daily and like you I feel like I need a scrub to really clear my skin. I love Madd Hippie products and I buy them 2x per year on sale at Whole Foods. My skin tolerates it quite well. I also love the Andalou Pumpkin enzyme mask. Smells good and leaves skin refreshed. I will have to check out this MH product as I have not seen it in store. You’re so lucky you can use products like this. I have to use topical not physical exfoliating products or else more broken Capillaries and then I look like a road map lol ❤️💕

I prefer the Mad Hippie because I have sensitive skin and the Citrus Oils irritated my skin with the Derma E ( which made me sad, because it works great). But having dry skin, I can use the Mad Hippie up to 3 times a week if I have to and it was a life saver this past winter.💜💜💜

First, I want to say that I LOVE my Trophy Skin Microdermabrasion Machine! My daughter gave it to me as a Christmas gift several years ago ... best gift ever! As to the two products showcased in this video, I believe they are both good products. But in my humble opinion (which doesn't count for much 😊), neither of those are microdermabrasion products, I believe they are exfoliants. One is a manual exfoliant and the other is a chemical exfoliant.

I use The Ordinary AHA product about once a month, and I love the results! I actually have to order it from a U.S. website( instead of buying it here at Deseim in Toronto). It is supposed to be at a percentage that a skin care specialist would use as a treatment in his or her office soit is illegal to sell it to us here in Canada! I think it is around 30 %. I recently got a deluxe sample of the famous Exfolikate from Kate Summerville. Tim, and I both used it, and liked it, and then we looked at the price! It’s expensive!! No thank you, Mam! I’ll stick with The Ordinary’s product, because it really works well in ten minutes, and it is so incredibly priced! I hope I will continually be able to order it online! Mary...do I understand correctly that without your Trophy Skin machine neither one of the products would do any good? Are both these products only useful if you have first done preliminary skin care with the Trophy Skin microdermabrasion system? What benefits would you receive from the two products if you didn't use the machine? I love makeup but skin care fascinates me. I probably sound like a three year old with all these questions but I truly want to be more "in the know" about all of this. Really found this video interesting. So grateful you do so much research and homework to bring us such great information. I hope you have a lovely weekend. Oh...and love Mad Hippie. It feels so gentle on my skin. No no that's not what I meant to say. Now no doubt the Trophy Skin machine gets on a level neither of these products could have done for me but I had hyperpigmentation that these scrubs would not have been able to make go away. If I couldn't have had that machine I would have turned to hydroquinone but alas now that is being taken off our shelves sooooo hmmmm. These are great for exfoliating though. I wouldn't rely on them to fade my hyperpigmentation or blast my fine lines and wrinkles though ;)
