Yet to see Madame Web - I’m a SonyVerse fan, and I’m hopeful I’ll enjoy it, but, yikes, it’s getting some clap-back. I enjoyed Morbius but, was left wanting more. Tom Holland, Spider-Man and Venom are the leaders here. That formula works so well it’s back to the drawing board to unpick just what makes the latest 3 spideys work...(and Venom) so well and apply it to all. It’s humour action SFX and script in balance. The new movies are characters we are not familiar with and a huge risk. The power in shows like Andor and Mando is about these elements in balance, and these were unknown characters too … it’s gritty, almost street-level feel feels. The animated Miles movies are a whole different picture, but it’s developing characters that you warm to and making you care about them… not a “wham bam” “like me already” feel. Getting more out there quickly has not paid off so far. Slowing it down and making us care about the universe again is my take.

James Wan's "Sandman" would probably be insane. His 1 Season "Swamp Thing" was really good but got canceled before it was finished filming the episode count. I think his take on "Sandman" would be something to see.

Let Asian people work on the Cindy Moon show, get a Feige to bring in a coherent vision, make Venom darker in theme and more about avoiding cycles of tragedy, try Madame Web again but focused on a 50+ actor, and give us a damn Tinkerer movie. LGBT representation and would be a fun appetizer for a sinister six reboot

It is so sad that Sony continues with this disregard and wanton approach towards their live-action films. I usually do not like to be negative, but it is just this continued dismal projects that do not show the best of what Sony can do, unlike the incredible films that the Spider-Man Into and Across the Spider-Verse that were phenomenal. I truly, truly hope that Sony can find the proper stride with their films, as well as upcoming series, that will be released as we go forward.

Serena Williams is a big Last Airbender fan. She voiced a character on the animated show. I am concerned that the live action show will try to tone down Zuko's villainy to try to make him more sympathetic.

Ya. Zuko's arc is so good. And knowing that the original creators aren't involved anymore makes me nervous about how they are going to change him. Especially in the book of water where he isn't really supposed to be liked yet.

When Madame Webb was first announced, and I had no idea what was happening with that, but I honestly thought they were gonna go down a terminator, original terminator type storyline, where the big villain was hunting down, baby Spider-Man and Madame Webb was pulling, spider women out from the universe to protect him. I think that would’ve been fun to watch.

I read a fan fic idea for the FF way back when iron man 2 or 3 was coming out. In the PCS of the iron man movie an old portal prototype covered with a tarp begins to shake, setting off security alarms in Stark tower. Iron man jumps out of bed, suits up and flys to the sun basement storage. The portal shakes off the tarp, a bright light forms in the middle and a man steps through covered in shadow so he can't be seen. The only words spoken in the entire scene is when the light from the portal dims and iron man says: "Dr. Richards? Reed??" End scene. It never happened...but DAMN it would have been cool!

Speaking of Star Wars, make the new Spiderman direction an epic telling of the whole King in Black story and a whole cosmic story about the symbiote lore. The story is interesting enough without Spiderman in it, and can take many directions

Imagine Kraven, being a horrible trophy hunter, until he meets this animal activist, fall for her, she teaches him to car for animals, protect them, only to lose her, when some rich hunting team, accidently shoot her, when she's spending time with gorillas. So now he goes into hunting hunters, and he gets to New York, and start killing every member of that hunting team. until Spider-Man shows up, and beat the shit out of him, sending him to a hospital. They should have done it with several of the spider villains. had the Andrew cameo in each of their films, where he is in that dark time of his live (which he mentioned to the other Petes), and go too hard on them. And in the end of their films, someone requites them to get their "justice" against him. Like an evil Nick Fury...

Even though Ezekiel was fumbled, I did like the “evil Spider-Man” take. Maybe have Ben Riley be the Spiderman of this universe and make him super aggressive or maybe even do the Superior Spiderman take of Otto being Spiderman to make it different enough.

Here's the thing. There is NOTHING preventing characters like Morbius and Kraven from bein more popular than Spiderman. 20 years ago, people would roll their eyes if you told them iron man would be more popular than Superman. If you're willing to put in the effort and have the passion, you can make an adaptation that can shake the foundations. The most beloved actress in the MCU is IMAN VELLANI, a 20 something pakistani canadian playing one of the less popular versions of Captain Marvel in the comics.

Madame Web as a private investigator going up against some kind of super powered-Silence of the Lambs style serial killer would have been far more interesting & also would have allowed for more creative use of her psychic powers for the narrative.

Let Feige hire someone to be in charge of the Spiderverse on Sony's dime, their first job being to re-edit all the current Sony-verse movies into something coherent that establishes a whole Spider-verse in Andrews world, then have that world cross over during an incursion and make the two Spidermans work against eachother in Secret Wars because they each know that saving their world would destroy the other. Then actually destroy the Sonyverse in Secret Wars but use Madam Web to send Andrew to a new verse that lost their Peter, basically leading into Miles' story. But first EVERY Sony movie without Spiderman gets major re-edits to tell a completely different story that actually makes sense instead of checking off boxes for what Sony thinks a movie has to have.

The second clip is from the first season. The character he is fighting is a minor spoiler for the episode. Also, I disagree about the actor playing Zuko. I don't believe we have seen enough of the show to make that determination. And comparing to Zena and Hercules is insane.

37:46 Love that idea!!! Have the villains BE VILLAINS! Tyrese character can be the cop that's hunting them down in each movie. He's the protagonist. Kinda like X-files. Each movie is him dealing with a Spiderman adjacent villain. He can team up with Silver Sable, eventually get Agent Flash Thompson Venom as an ally.

I think they need to just make a live action spiderverse not like the animated movies but as in make films that focus on Spider characters in live action. They have the rights it’s not hard. Finish beyond the Spiderverse then give us a live action Miles Morales movie and even Spider Gwen. They are even talking about shows for Silk and Spider-man Noir. Build a live action universe of Spider heroes and find some way to bring them together. It’s the only way it will work. These solo villain stories are not working.

Oh yeah one other thing and I keep harping on this sometimes a lot when the CW had the DC verse it may not have been the greatest thing on the planet, but it was fun to watch and it made sense to a certain degree and I don’t understand why a company likes Sony cannot do the same thing with their movies don’t go super crazy but just you know we if it’s a good story we’re gonna come back and watch stuff over and over again it doesn’t have to be overblown

I've never understood why Venom and the rest didn't have a Spider-Man. The characters are inherently Spider-Man villains. I'm not excited for Kraven. I think it will be R Rated for the sake of being R Rated. They don't seem to understand that Kraven comes into the story to hunt Spider-Man, a human boy. He's not protagonist material.

Honestly, if Joker 2 is a musical, I'm out. Musicals have their place, and it's not comic book movies. Just my opinion, but all gravity and emersion into a movie's reality is lost when serious characters just break into song. Ppl don't do that in real life, so if filmmakers want to have their characters/plot taken seriously, they shouldn't do it in film either.

@@maudesworld well, as I am an anime fan, Cowboy Bebop, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Serial Experiments Lain, Escaflowne, Code Geass, Gundam 00, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Frieren Beyond Journey’s end, Apothecary Diaries, Bocchi the Rock. Some special mentions are Jujutsu Kaisen which for all the shit MAPPA pulls on their employees, this series is amazing to watch, especially the fight sequences. Then there is Demon Slayer which is an example of an anime taking an average manga with a pretty straightforward premise and animating it into an absolute powerhouse (and yes, I will be watching the theatrical release of the last episode of season3 with the first episode of season four in IMAX on Thursday night).

@17:00 is from the first season. When Aang first meets Bumi again. He goes back in the second season before he meets toph Serena Williams voiced a guard in ATLA I’m pretty sure.
