To be honest, the idea of someone evil having Spider-Man's power could have been such a great idea. I would totally see this movie being a thriller/horror movie, where Eziekiel stalks and hunts the girls down, while Cassie has to find out who is hunting them down from her newly acquired superpower.

The problem is this. They keep hiring directors and writers that have NEVER read a comic in their life and activley dislike them. Thus they use the platform to push their personal idology whatever that may be. Thats literally everything. Xmen 97 coming up is no different, which is a damn shame that its gonna be used for that very thing.

When I saw this, for the first time, I fell asleep in a movie theater. Not a nap, but straight up asleep. I woke up at that end battle and was more annoyed by waking up than not knowing what happened in the movie. Those leather recliners are comfortable.

I love the idea she taught them cpr but what if they couldn't swim also? Would we have had a scene of her teaching them swimming. Considering CLEARLY Cassandra weakness is drowning, lol.

It was a very fun bad movie, I laughed a lot at the unintentional humor and once at the intentional humor, I loved the opening being filmed with the worst camera available looked like 20 fps, the bad cgi, the re-recorded lines not matching up with the bad guys lips, the girls didn’t annoy me til the dance scene but then being murdered to Britney Spears was awesome, there was 1 or 2 genuine good scenes and 1 was just the bad guy snatching cops up left and right for 2 seconds, it was done like a horror movie and was a nice touch. I cackled when Dakota Johnson got smacked in the face with a firework. And that scene of them learning cpr was the strangest shit I’ve ever seen

Didn't you know the reason spiders are so scary is because they can replicate themselves at will? And, I too think they actually thought this abomination was actually going to get a sequel. It shocks me some of the execs over there at Sony still have jobs. A 12 year old would have done better with this film.

I wish this movie was "so bad it's good" to me, instead it was boring and flatly acted with some terrible dialogue. Huge Spidey fan and this was nothing.. It was a lazy attempt by people who seem like they didn't care. The director worked on Succession season 1 episode 8 I believe so I know she has talent, I feel bad for some involved in this but not the big wigs at the top who only care about profit.

Oh my god no. Newbee this is NOT the introduction to Ezekiel that anyone deserves. He was a very interesting character in the comics I promise. And he didn’t wear a fake Spider-Man suit he didn’t wear one at all he wore a business suit. He wasn’t even a villain. He was a mid 50s businessman who gained his powers through ritualistic totems and WANTED to be a hero but he wasted his life seeking material wealth and building his empire. He and Peter have many conversations in the comic about what it means to be a Spider-Man since they have so many powers in common. Ezekiel acts as a sort of mentor toward Peter. Ezekiel was going to sacrifice Peter in his place to keep his powers but he realized that Peter was the hero Ezekiel always wanted to be and that while Ezekiel wasted his life seeking wealth Peter risked his helping people and Ezekiel sacrificed himself giving up his life and his powers so Peter could live and continue to help people. This movie didn’t just squander Ezekiel as a character they butchered him. Look how they massacred my boy.

I said it once, and I’ll say it again. It’s not marvel‘s fault that their movies are sucking now. Blame Disney and their woke agenda. Marvel has so many stories that they could adapt to movies that people would love to see on the big screen. But as long as Disney continues to push their woke agenda into this franchise, then we’re going to continue to get crappy marvel movie after crappy marvel movie.
