& more recently Judy Tenuta, countless women die annually because they are women. Female friend died @ 37, after toxic tampon shock in her teens followed by 6 bouts of rare ovarian cancer. NO trans woman will ever be @ risk to this, any more than they will suffer monthly cramps, pain, bleeding, menopause, hot flashes, feet in stirrups, yet feminist author is "transphobic" for speaking up for women.

That's a lot of talent in one set.

brilliant scene by two legends. hitting marks, seamless dialogue, landing jokes both subtle, risque, and hilarious. my favorite being gilda just wanting dad to be "street car conductor", "of course you do, millions and millions of people do..." timeless, nice job to the writers.

May God bless the legacy of these two great comedienne actresses.God rest their dear souls.They were taken away from this world just ten years apart from the same awful cancer.Gilda died of ovarian cancer on May 20,1989 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles,CA and Madeline Kahn died ten years later of the same cancer on December 3,1999 at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan,New York City,NY.Thank God that even though they're gone,we can still be reminded of their lives by looking back on their impressive body of work.They were gone way too soon but we'll always remember the joy and laughter they brought us.Forever Madeline and Gilda.

This is genuine comedy. Outstanding performance by both divas.
@unowen-nh9ov5 жыл бұрын
They weren't divas, they worked in ensembles & repeatedly worked with the same people, Madeline was released from a Broadway musical starring role because she wasn't a diva, just played one.

And by the way, I love Madeline's hair pulled up elegantly in a bun. Especially Gilda's hair looks so cute, and ready for bed when her hair is rolled up in curlers.

@freemandiaz5123: You literally must be an idiot. Now Marlene Dietrich! That’s a great American actress. She pretended to be German too even. And then in an American western pretended to be French in DESTRY RIDES AGAIN. NOW, that’s an actress.

DYK? [Did You Know?] This leading lady in this motion picture, Madeline Kahn, who played the role of the First Lady, Constance Link hosted NBC-TV's longest running late night show "Saturday Night Live" at least three times. May 8, 1976, October 18, 1977, and December 16, 1995. This other leading lady who played the role as the First Daughter, Gloria Link, Gilda Radner was an alumni of "The Second City" and she was signed to be one of the first members on NBC-TV's "Saturday Night Live" from 1975 to 1980. And did you also know that these two leading ladies of this motion picture was guested on "The Muppet Show" Madeline Kahn on one episode, and Gilda Radner on the other episode. And in the 1980's, one of these two leading ladies of this motion picture was the guests on "Late Night with David Letterman". Gilda Radner on August 16, 1984, and Madeline Kahn on both November, 18, 1987, and February 16, 1989.

Also: Madeline Kahn worked with Gene Wilder in "The Producers," "Young Frankenstein," and "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother." Gilda Radner later married Gene Wilder, as well as co-starring in "Woman in Red" and "Haunted Honeymoon" with him.
