Gilda kind of choked up a little bit there when they were saying goodbye. Her getting a little emotional kind of made me verklempt. I miss her.

My dad used to laugh so hard at her characters that he would almost fall out of his reclincer. Great, great talent.

Just last night I watched Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee with Martin Short. He mentioned dating Gilda for a couple of years in the 70s and did an awesome Paul impression in a coffee shop!

Interesting tidbit: Dave called Canada, just outside of Hamilton. Martin Short is from Hamilton, who dated Gilda in the 70s. Bonkers!

She was a very close friend of Paul's. The reason Paul didn't come out in the Blues Brothers movie is because he was busy working on Gilda's one woman show

Gilda Radner either had a gift from god, or _was_ a gift from god. I think it was how natural she was, how unaffected. You could not _not_ like her. I mean, look at her telling these silly bullshit stories about the book and totally disarming everyone while doing it.
