You're right! Mountains it is! I live in the plains, so any slight elevation is an exotic thing for me! Twice a year, I go to the mountains and never get tired of climbing and walking there. The rocks seem to have some energy that pulls you and doesn't let you go away for a long time. Once I get back to the plains, I wither fast. You're lucky to live close to the mountains, so you can go there any time. But my son's interests are diametrically opposed. He hates mountains. I believe it is hell when two people in one family have opposing views and interests. Sometimes I feel suffocated when I want something, but one of my children wants something else. And because he's still little, I must sacrifice my interest because I can't leave him alone yet. Thank you for the lesson! I wish I could use these words in an active vocab. I understand all of them, but there's still a long way to fluency.

Hi Mark. In Polish language we have exactly the same phrase “diametralnie inny” or “diametralnie różny”.

That's never good to be diametricaly opposed one to another, then the crisis won't never be solved on this way. To solve any diference has to be done empatically that 'd be the contrary as to be diametricaly opposed

Hi Mark. I loved this vídeo and I need to practicy sentences using this new words. You said you love pizza, right? Here in São Paulo, everyone loves it too. We are the largest consumers of pizza in Brazil and the world, behind only NY. That's why we have many different types of pizza. My favorite pizza is "Mamma". This pizza has tomato salsa, catupiry (it is like cream cheese), broccoli, bacon, hearts of palm and black olives. So delicious! Thank'u ver much.

Hey, for the people who speak French, it's easy to understand and use " diametrically opposed " because in the French language, we say " diamétralement opposé". Example: this regime has political choices diametrically opposed to that other regime. Take care!

Under capitalism in huge transnational companies. Under communism in the Politburo, like was in the USSR. Both ways of authority really easy to control. Hi, your face expression makes me laugh when you're talking about vegan food and vegans. I have the same while watching or listening to Orban😁 Even though I mostly prefer vegan food, I am like you call it crap. I have changed my culinary preferences almost diametrically, but I should say that it had no influence on decreasing weight. It's a sort of rape of the organism. So you'd better eat tasty food but probably in less quantities. Thanks a lot for the great video, take care🤗

I can't imagine a couple with him to be a meat eater and with her - a vegan. It's supposed to be a constant pain for her to cook meat and for him knowing it :) And to top it off - to have different political views! I don't know, they must be both just angels! :) I see there are a lot of people speaking other languages in your neibourhood.
