Honestly it's so true about the "half of you are gonna be gone" my university only accepts 150 people by the end of first semester there are only 75. It's hard work. Congratulations on getting in and clearly you did an amazing job. I'm new to your channel but I love it already :)

Oh girl my orientation was two days long starting at 830am the first day and ending at 430pm and the next day was 9am to 430....and I love it when you have nice positive instructors

Good luck! Nursing school has by far been the most difficult thing I have ever done but it is SO incredibly rewarding! I just finished my 4th of 5 semesters in my program and graduate in August. Can’t wait! My program you have to average an 80% on exams before they factor in any other points. It’s crazy. I can’t wait to follow along in your journey. 🙂

Anything below an 80% is failing in my program! 🤦🏾‍♀️ and anything below an 94% is a B which makes it harder to get and maintain and A. 🙄😩 but I’m excited for you! I LOVE seeing and watching people going through the same journey as me! It keeps me motivated! 😊😊

Good luck on your journey! Your orientation wasn't too bad. I have the first orientation next month for my nursing program which I start in January. It's going to be from 8am-5pm 😩

I just started a BNS program at a private college in CA a few months ago. It's a 22 month program. most of the things that you said was the same for me, there were only a few exception. I wonder if other schools/programs for nursing are the same throughout the US? Here's a list if anyone cares to read: - my school has a cohort system, each cohort has 50 students. there are 3 cohort per year. -as a cohort we all take the same classes, but we don't choose the class or the schedule. Either all 50 of us have lecture together or they divided us in half. in our labs they will divide us into 10 to 20 students per lab class. - The intimidation part, like saying most people won't make it through, is something I never heard of. That speech was given to us when we were applying for the program (acceptance rate was about 15 %). Once you're in a program, very few people drop out or fail out. if drop out rate is high it make the program/school look bad. - for each class you have to pass with a 76% or higher - I don't know what happen if someone in my program fail a class... - our first clinic will be in Med Surg., but that doesn't start until month 5 of the program - there are also people of different ages and of different stages of life in my program, which is interesting.

I’m in a BSN nursing program now. Ours is 2.5 years and I only have a year left. Our lowest passing grade is an 80. And our program is MUCH more stricter than what you’re describing. Nursing school is really hard and you will have to gain some patience throughout it, especially since you mentioned you aren’t patient.

My program you have to get above an 80% to pass. I just finished my first term, and trust me, you’ll be fine! My graduation date is Dec 2020, when will you be graduating?
