this girl is going through what Megan fox went through years ago, it's alright being the prettiest person ever but she's been stripped of her talents so much. she wrote all her own songs, she has a beautiful voice, her new album is so so good I can't even explain how well executed the whole thing is. She's constantly being discredited by haters because apparently, it's so insane for someone to be that pretty they have to tear her down. weirdos man

ok but why do we deem her the prettiest person alive?? like these people with very typical eurocentric, "instagram-value" features are truly being called the prettiest people alive nowadays? not to make her beauty controversial, but seeing people acting like shes the rightful beauty standard is weird to me
@user-cs2eu5gg1m
@user-cs2eu5gg1m 2 жыл бұрын
@@annikaa881 I don't think anyone can be the prettiest person alive due to the fact that beauty standards differ for every individual, so someone that is really pretty to one person might be ugly to another. Therefore people can be one of the prettiest people but they cannot be THE prettiest.

She is so misjudged by a lot of people. The amount of videos I see of people uploading random snippets of her live streams trying to cancel her on tik tok is unreal. You can clearly see she's a beautiful soul. She deserves to be recognised for everything she is. Her voice, her beauty and her beautiful soul❤️. I can't wait to see her on tour I've got my tickets and I'm 100% sure the night will be magical✨

I really feel bad for Madison. I don't know about anyone else and I dont care about anyone else but I hope that somehow she knows that even if at least ONE person hears her and gets where she's coming from, it helps her and can heal her. she seems very in her head about things and worrisome and I can totally understand why she would but but its just not a way to live. Madison you are a beautiful girl in and out, just be your true self at the end of the day and stand up and speak of what you believe in. its okay girl. most of the haters are literally haters because they're jealous and/or 15. like come on. bullying is such a big thing in our day in time so imagine having a platform like her and constantly getting hit in the face with such hypocritical ppl that could NEVER live a day in ur shoes. the music thing was such a good choice for her. keep going Madison and speak ur truth, the right ones will respect it.

Thank you both so so so much for this interview and being so open and vulnerable. Ive been very majority depressed this Christmas and New Years. its really hard and I felt so isolated and alone and like no one was on my side. I've been looking into BPD symptoms because I think I may share some of those or most of those symptoms and it really made my stigma for it go away. I felt ashamed that I might have BPD but its very normal. I love both of your souls so much for sharing this and I can feel your energies and love that you put out into the world. You both are great role models for me. Thank you ilyyyy

It’s so annoying when people take things out of context and make it seem like she’s a bad person. With that “I’m too pretty meme”, why do people assume that it’s all she said? I mean it’s obvious to me that after she said the sentence that she probably said something like “I don’t wanna be known for my beauty, I wanna be known more than that and as a person” before I saw the full video. How can people just assume that she only said that “she’s too pretty” in that meme/video????

It honestly makes a lot of sense why she'd be that way. Majority of the internet discourse surrounding her are people discussing her looks which must suck, also the fact that she was catapulted into fame at a very young age. I feel like both of these things would contribute to someone being pretty self conscious.

Idk, I understand that feeling of wanting to be seen more than superficial qualities such as her looks. Obviously, she's got an amazing singing voice, but I feel the way she presents her image is very much in "trend" (looks and image based), "with the cool LA kids", "Instagram model" circles, it doesn't seem to sit in line with how much she preaches about things that defy it. It's similar to seeing how the Instagram models that use the most filters and super edited photos making these kinds of 'reality vs Instagram comments whilst they contribute to the problem themselves. Like you're not saying anything groundbreaking and it doesn't mean much when you go right back to perpetuating that cycle.

i don't think you should take someone's images on social media to define them. we all show things that we feel good on there, obviously. and i don't know which side of madison's social media make u view her like that, but to me she always keep things very og and personal. she just posts things related to her music and events she attended. she also builds a small and intimate circle w/ her fans on twitter. I've never seen a picture she posted that was edited. She has been talking about stuff like "instagram beauty vs reality" for thousand of times but seem like nobody really listen. because people always say she is "the beauty standard" which she never said she was, and no one should be. maybe that is their problem when they compare theirselves on social media, have to point out people's flaws irl just to satisfy their insecurities.

To be honest, most of what you’re saying is lowkey shaming her and those same Instagram models for “contributing” to the problem when that’s the last thing any of us should be doing. Do a lot of IG models especially the ones who have gotten work done, often tend to use filters on their pics? Yes…..could that be seen as making things worse? In a way yes….however, we have to remember that as a society….we’re constantly being told by the beauty industry what is beautiful, and what the new trends are. For IG models…..a lot of them probably don’t wanna post some of the pictures that have on their pages, and for their ones who’ve gotten work done, they probably didn’t truly wanna do that….but the beauty industry is very demanding. Plus, as a society it’s our own faults. We like to bully and nitpick at not just each other, but influencers and celebrities for how they look whether it’s all natural, or if they have gotten work done. We bully them to the point where they become insecure about themselves, or they become way more insecure about those insecurities, and eventually they end up going under the knife…but because of online trolls criticizing them so much, they have to use filters. If they’re open and honest about getting work done and always using filters….they receive hate for it, if they keep it all a secret….sooner or later, the haters find out….and they get bullied heavily for it. When it comes to Madison, she never asked to be born beautiful….that’s all puberty and genetics which she had no control of. You might think that she doesn’t sit in line with what she preaches about, but that’s because you only see what she posts online, you don’t see what she goes through behind closed doors. As someone who’s been following her for years….most of the time, she’s home with her dog Bowie, watching tv or listening to music, or sometimes recording a song. You’re one of the many few people who are judging her, and y’all wonder why she’s been so scared to go online. I also happen to also be from Long Island to, and I’ve personally seen Madison out and about in her hometown….she never acts a certain way like she’s all that, or is with her IG friends.

Well I just have to remind myself that I was born in the 80s actually 1980, and we grew up with very personal relationships with family and each other. I’ve lived thru all of it! So from my perspective of having both I notice that when I personally had depression it was during the internet age, and it changed everything. It’s easier for me to get out of that slump tho because I can reach back in my mind and pull out those emotional intelligence skills I gained from very personal person to person interactions almost my whole life, and it just makes it easier for people in my age group. So I definitely do have a soft spot and empathy for the younger generation of girls and woman expecially like my daughter for example who is 7. Drop dead gorgeous and has never known the world without social media and the internet! So she has never seen a pay phone, a pager, or playing in the streets with friends until late,or walking to school by ourselves in kindergarten, or watching tgi Friday with the whole family around the one tv in the living room lol it just goes on and on but it’s definitely different now. And we need to realize and admit that, not talk down on this generation for it like it’s all bad, because this is real for them like our generation was real for us! And we need to have options that work for mental health issues, pushing meds is not the answer to me! I think this is where the younger generation should go back and study us and what worked for us and try to implement some things that worked in the past. If mental health has gotten way worse, then we have to look at why? The cause? And figure out what can be done! What started all of these layers of mental health issues and what exacerbated this? So I feel like most people agree with her and the meds are just too much! I got myself stuck in a 8 year trap mentally with meds! I started working out , again reaching back on old school methods, and I did work outs, I did ymca membership with my kids, focused on getting back into the Bible and praying and going to church at home online! And that worked a miracle! So as you see I added old school methods plus the internet came into use to help build my spiritual health, and limit anxiety by using the internet. So definitely need to have experienced people that have gone thru it sitting around together coming up with a mental healthy plan! Infisus on the healthy plan! Those meds also make you gain a ton of weight which makes young girls soooooo depressed! Backwards like she said! Adderal been there too, hmmm, it’s nothing less than legal meth or amphetamines as the bottle said! Oh wow. Smh This is an amazing interview, very smart girl Madison, she will make it thru this she is very smart and self aware!

I think part of the reason is because her image is what stands out all over her social media. Other artists might post random pics, or show some side to their personality, in fact just be comfortable being themselves; but when you're constantly promoting or projecting beauty standards.. that's what drifts people off.. because they see that more than anything else. People notice insecurity too. I'm not going to say anything further than that.

just gonna preface this by saying I didn't watch the whole video. But I just gotta say: its kind of mind-boggling to me that young women (especially), seem to struggle with "anxiety" or "depression", but is living a life that promotes it - GET OFF SOCIAL MEDIA. Seriously, stop caring so much about this projection of an image of yourself. Its a fucking digital drug. Pefect example is @ 1:00:00 -- my question to you is: so what?! does it matter what some group of guys think if you're not wearing makeup or not "at your best"...seriously how the fuck are you expected to stay sane when living in that kind of unrealistic standard of your life? And whoever judges a person by that standard is living a delussion. That's not real life. SOCIAL MEDIA IS NOT REAL LIFE.

Funny to hear her talk shit about her own looks. If she want smoking hot, she wouldn't have a career, guaranteed. I know several VERY talented female singers who are amazing songwriters and musicians. Guess where they are? Nowhere, because they are not attractive Producers and labels have straight up told them they needed to lose weight, or fix something about themselves to look more marketable etc.... Look at Lady Gaga. She was told no constantly because of her looks. Shit, look at SIA. No one paid any attention to her until she started hiding her face and that became a gimmick. Lady Gaga and SIA, two of the most talented female artists of all time. Stop pretending beauty doesn't sell. It always has and always will.

Basically sexism and misogyny. Look at Ed sheeran. He has a shabby hair style, nerd looking, barely changes his outfits, look at bieber.. Examples of how sexist the industry is and how its obviously engrained in people's subconscious, to the point where they pick these people apart.

I think Madison Beer does have a lot to offer besides her looks. I think the reason people may give her such a hard time is cause she over fills her lips and spray tans. So it’s obvious she’s had something done. Maybe she should try to go for a more natural look when she gets her lips filled again. It sucks people are that way, but it may distract from her music.
