So many dedicated teachers. I owe my college education to them, & thank God for the opportunity. A few years later I spent 2+ years at Wildwood out side Chattanooga, TN. My time there and the guidance I was privileged to receive, especially from Elder W. D. Frazee has been an anchor for my soul.

What are you doing now for a world that is dying? After getting educated at Wildwood? Just wondering.

God works in amazing ways! I didn't know what was ASI a few days ago. But last week I saw a photo of Doug Batchelor in Paris with the sign ASI behind him, and I ask myself what was ASI and tried to search for it but things came on my way. Yesterday I had a call from an adventist friend who told me that ASI could help me and he briefly explained to me what it was and gave me the website address. And today I see your video right in front of my eyes with even more info. This is amazing! Praise God, He always surprise me and guide me

@@LineageJourney Awesome, please let us know when you all are making your way down here :). Alright, will support. God willing the funds will be provided. Thanks for the work you all do. It inspires me to do more in my own little outreaches by God's grace. Would be nice to meet you all and if possible help in some way as well. *God bless* P.s keep us in prayer , the instability from Venezuela is causing a chain effect of violence, hunger, poverty...etc.

Why were the early Ethiopian believers over looked by this series but included by Ellen White in the great controversy?? "The churches of Africa held the Sabbath as it was held by the papal church before her complete apostasy. While they kept the seventh day in obedience to the commandment of God, they abstained from labor on the Sunday in conformity to the custom of the church. Upon obtaining supreme power, Rome had trampled upon the Sabbath of God to exalt her own; but the churches of Africa, hidden for nearly a thousand years, did not share in this apostasy. When brought under the sway of Rome, they were forced to set aside the true and exalt the false sabbath; but no sooner had they regained their independence than they returned to obedience to the fourth commandment" (The Great Controversy, 577-578).

From 4:45 the video goes way off. Of course Madision was an independent ministry. That's why it was hated from the start by the Conference, was disdained for years, and is smugly looked down on as a "failure" still today by many Conference officials. But Madision's real failure was that it started compromising with the worldly accreditation bodies.

I just learned about Warren Eugene Howell, who said the following in 1922: “The raising of standards required for admission to our medical college has placed before us the necessity of registering some of our colleges in some secular accrediting association so that our students in medicine may meet the legal requirements of the medical profession.” Thirty years later Madison failed as a result of the constant expenditure required to maintain its accreditation. So sad.

@@guywhitworth5764whitworth, That is an interesting quote. Madison failed because it started compromising with the world, not because it had to spend money on accreditation. In fact, Ellen White supported accreditation, but to what degree is a debatable question. . But when Madison got famous (written up in Reader's Digest in 1939 in a glowing report), and full of pride, she curried the favor of the world, and slowly lost her peculiar, Godly character, thus forfeiting the blessings of God.

@@earlysda I wasn't aware of that history. I read a book about Madison a while back, and it suggested that maintaining accreditation was the major cause for the college to go into debt. Have you read the book 'Madison: God's Beautiful Farm' by Harry Christman and Ira Gish? I thought it was excellent, though I'm very interested to learn more. Can you recommend any other materials that present the narrative that you've outlined above? Perhaps look me up on other platforms and we can continue the discussion.

@@guywhitworth5764whitworth, I used to live in Madison many years ago, and my mother went to college there the last year they were open. . "Madison, God's Beautiful Farm" is a wonderful book to get up to speed on understanding Madison, but has some biases and inaccuracies. I can't think of any other material at the moment that would give a more well-rounded presentation of the facts. I've been picking up bits and pieces of info over the years to arrive at the knowledge I have of Madison today.
