It takes so much courage for parents to raise their children the way they want to, rather than the way society tells us we're " supposed " to. Before I started homeschooling, I was told by so many people that I couldn't or shouldn't... We're in our fourth year, now. Thanks for being such an inspiration, Madi!

I'm 50 years old with grown adult children and grandchildren, but I stumbled across your account a while back and I watch every video you post. I have for months! Your message goes far beyond the season of life with young children in the home. You are wise beyond your years and the world needs more women like you who demonstrate faith in God and value in a life centered on the things that matter most. God bless you for sharing your light!

Watching this video brought me to tears. It is almost like hearing my own thoughts be spoken aloud by someone else. I have taken this approach in raising my children too, and the amount of comments I have received from other young women in their 20s began to be disheartening. I wondered if maybe I am making a mistake by living a slow, simple, "boring", stay-at-home mom lifestyle. The more I sat with the idea, the more I realized that it might not suit everyone, but boy are my children and my husband going to remember how I was there with them. How I was present in their lives, and cherished moments with them. How I created a beautiful environment for the sacred time of childhood. I've completely stopped comparing myself to other moms, other people in general, and just follow my heart. I have never been more free. Thank you for spreading this message, because not enough women are told that living this life is okay.

Dear Madi, I've been watching, listening to you for a little while. I'm older now, 72, hard to say it! So true, where did the time go? I've been through the major part of my life with the majority of it learning and teaching about Jesus and his word. I love that you are, too! I am so happy for you to have thought out and found a slower pace of life at your age! I've spent mine raising my 3 children, in the church as a pastor's wife, going to college later, all the while working to help support. I retired as an early childcare provider/teacher trainer, only to open a new center for our community low income as well as mother's in our shelter so they can go to work or school. I'm telling you all of this because my biggest regrets are not spending quality time with my own kids and living with chaos and clutter. I love simple and order, but never enough time to keep at it. Now I've been able to straighten up, clear out and create a much more calming and peaceful environment in my home. I'm so thankful to you and others on this same journey! I have more time to devote to what is important, time with God, family and friends!!💗

When I tell people that I have 9 kids they always think I’m so busy but I don’t feel busy… especially when my baby is 3 i feel I have so much more time now! Hi Madi 🙂Your story of becoming a mom is so similar to mine. I struggled so hard with PPDA and I know some of it was due to unrealistic expectations on my part. I feel like so many of us walk that path of preparing for motherhood with all these expectations that leave us with a perfect picture to live up to. And then reality hits and everything falls apart. Anyway, thanks so much for all you share with us. I only found your channel a few weeks ago and you have already taught me so much. Thanks for being you. This is my favourite video yet! I became a new mam 8 months ago and I definitely went through the Pinterest phase of wanting everything perfect before he arrived, completely ridiculous! There are so many things I didn't need and I prioritised stuff over planning for practical things such as healthy meals when I couldn't be bothered to cook etc. If I'm lucky enough to have another child, I will definitely take these lessons on board!! I got the same response at times! Spending time with our kids is a blessing, even on the tough days! Culture tells us that we can do it all and have it all as women, but we simply cannot. If we are mothers, then we need to be mothers. What better job is that?

Had I known then what I know now. I had 2 children in 18 months - moving from NorCal to Maine back to SoCal then back to NorCal with husbands job - 18 months pregnant and son born in Maine - absolutely no support - tried to fill up the house with stuff - toys etc very dark time . Have this same desire now at 64 - thank you.

Thank you for sharing your experience as a mom here on KZfaq. My husband and I am trying to have a baby in our 30's and in the process of looking into buying a home for our future children to grow up in. I'm decluttering our belongings right now to make space not only for our future children, but also for my mental health. I get so stressed out with a lot of clutter and too much stuff and I'm also breaking my shopping addiction too. Thank for being a great inspiration for other women on this platform. I will definitely look into your course.

So excited for you Madi! Thanks to you, I have learned so much more about decluttering. I think about things more thoroughly before I make a purchase, and we are thriving so much more without a television in our home. Anything more you could share about homeschooling your littles, I would love to see it. I think that as a homeschool mom, I try to do all the right things, the fun projects, but it can be overwhelming to keep up with all the projects that we "should" be doing. Just a thought for a possible future video for you. May the peace of God be with you!

This shifts so hard when they become teenagers and are influenced by friends. But it is my fault for allowing social media to creep in. I also can't afford to stay home and homeschool, so the peer pressure at school is crazy. This was me when my girls were small though. :)

Congratulations on your new project, course sounds great! As a fellow mum I admire you and your approach greatly, can’t wait for the podcast, I’m toying with quitting social media but still find value in some special needs support groups and so I’m trying to “dumb down” FB so I don’t get sucked into scrolling and only access what of value to me. Any tips?

A really good tip I’ve heard is creating a new Facebook account with 0 friends and only joining those groups there. That way your timeline shouldn’t be as enticing and all you get is value from those groups. Thank you for your support ❤️

I am definitely going to be doing the course. Honestly, watching your videos has been a huge inspiration and adopting similar ways of living has been incredibly healing for me. I went through traumatic ongoing SA as a child and starting the process of living intently, and slowly and on my terms has broken so many walls down in my heart. You truly have been a blessing in my home. Thanks girl♡

I signed up! I can’t wait. As a Biblical mentor and certified coach it is one of the biggest regrets or guilts of mothers’ hearts. Am I enough, did I do enough, can I be better. So much hurtful self-talk. Thank you for taking the time and energy to discuss this and also to address it and the truth of what is actually important. Can’t wait to sign up for your course! ❤❤
