And to further add, two of his signings are doing FANTASTICALLY well up here, Lammers & Dessers, it'd be a crying shame if they were to get a transfer to a club down South somewhere. TBH, I honestly believe they're both VERY good players, they're just not right for the Scottish league....

I enjoyed that! :0) Nice to see a true blood and guts, Derby Cup Tie. Made all the better by no VAR interfering every 5 minutes for half an hour at a time. Just a shame Sunderland had to shoot themselves in the foot, three times and it really was not Ballard's day was it. The OG couldn't be helped, if Ballard had not got there, Isak would have, but the second goal, as a Defender, if you are the last Man you do NOT poddle about with it, by trying to beat an opposition Forward. As for the penalty, well...there really was no need for that foul and enough said. It was a shame Sunderland could not have offer more going forward and they should have gone for it more, but still an enjoyable game and reminded me of the time when Football was fun and didn't have all the theatrical ham acting, rolling around on the ground for 10 minutes at a time, like they had been shot., every time they were breathed on. More of this for the future please!!!

Secondly OMG im so glad Wolves didn't employ that Sunderland manager what his name is, his footy style, his talking, his everything!. Our last 3 foreign managers have been easier to listen to than his cockney horribleness and Gary O'Neill surprisingly is a very articulate and speaks very very well, shame on us % who didn't welcome his employment {me included } he is showing himself to be a potential Premier regular over the future years.

@@josepharcher3620 It's gonna take a few seasons to build up a solid bench, Isak, Botman and Bruno must be worth 100 Million each now. There the players you want to keep. We do need another player for that position to rotate but almiron is such a hungry, rapid player sure he cuts inside but then so does Gordon and gets praised for it. Where we struggle is when tripps isn’t playing with almiron - almiron doesn’t cross but he works v well with trippier and frequently draws the defence to allow trippier to cross it in. They could do with some new tricks mind cos teams are sussing them out.

It was a clear case of inflated arrogance by Sunderland. They genuinely thought they were good enough to play through Newcastle's press and pass them off the pitch. They were taught a very harsh and humbling lesson about levels in football. None of those Sunderland players look capable of playing in the Premier League....That Jobe Bellingham was shown just how far off from his older brother he is because he just looked way out of his depth....Lewis Miley is younger and bossed the park against PSG both games we played them.... Over hype is a weakness. Sunderland wont even get out of the Championship playing that kind of football

As a Sunderland fan, I’m not keen on Beale at all. I hope he proves me wrong but his lack of decisiveness and willingness to make a change today made matters worse. Newcastle were the better team today but we could have DEFINITELY been more pragmatic. I’d love Roy Keane back in charge.

@@rmh032 Newcastle, a team that are formidable for their energy and pressing. Manager sets us up to pass our way out of trouble - bad decision. Sitting on 18% possession with 0 shots on target at half time and making 0 changes - bad decision. Don’t get me wrong, the players didn’t turn up but the manager provided no guidance or proactive decision making. He’ll be gone within 3-6 month. Mark my words.

@@JBSounds92 there was a lot of time and space in midfield offered to Sunderland after Joelinton went off but at 0-2 the damage was done. Just seems a bit much to go in hard on him after a game against a PL team who finished 4th last season.

this is the problem with many teams in the championship and league 1 to a certain extent. All with these new modern 'progressive' coaches who all seem to think they can get their teams playing the Man City total football. None of them have a plan B. As Keane said that second goal Sunderland conceded is a disgrace but it's all too familiar in the game now, doesn't matter if it is a pre-season friendly or the biggest game of the season, these players will continue to play it out from the back without a care in the world. The games gone mad In my opinion.
