I enjoyed that! :0) Nice to see a true blood and guts, Derby Cup Tie. Made all the better by no VAR interfering every 5 minutes for half an hour at a time. Just a shame Sunderland had to shoot themselves in the foot, three times and it really was not Ballard's day was it. The OG couldn't be helped, if Ballard had not got there, Isak would have, but the second goal, as a Defender, if you are the last Man you do NOT poddle about with it, by trying to beat an opposition Forward. As for the penalty, well...there really was no need for that foul and enough said. It was a shame Sunderland could not have offer more going forward and they should have gone for it more, but still an enjoyable game and reminded me of the time when Football was fun and didn't have all the theatrical ham acting, rolling around on the ground for 10 minutes at a time, like they had been shot., every time they were breathed on. More of this for the future please!!!

Our last 3 foreign managers have been easier to listen to than his cockney horribleness and Gary O'Neill surprisingly is a very articulate and speaks very very well, shame on us % who didn't welcome his employment {me included } he is showing himself to be a potential Premier regular over the future years.

@@josepharcher3620 It's gonna take a few seasons to build up a solid bench, Isak, Botman and Bruno must be worth 100 Million each now. There the players you want to keep. We do need another player for that position to rotate but almiron is such a hungry, rapid player sure he cuts inside but then so does Gordon and gets praised for it. Where we struggle is when tripps isn’t playing with almiron - almiron doesn’t cross but he works v well with trippier and frequently draws the defence to allow trippier to cross it in. So refreshing having Chris Waddle in rather than a female pundit “just to tick the boxes”

You’ve made a mistake with Beale, zero tactical knowledge.

Good game to watch. Not influenced by VAR. So the Crystal Palace cup tie had VAR, why was that. Seems they are picking and choosing which games have VAR,something is not right.Should be all or none.

I dont think Newcastle are as good a side as many think, But Sunderland didn't even turn up, Its a derby for christ's sake. This manager has his work cut out, to put it mildly.

I reckon Beale will be a good manager for Sunderland.

Sunderland haven’t defended that badly since Roy Keane was manager of Sunderland.
