The video takes that message and tells a compelling story in a playful and artistic way. I'm not saying God Control doesn't have elements of art. I'm saying its brow-beating, its preachy, its even a little tacky. The song is fun enough, but that melodramatic piano intro with the mumbling... girl.... no. This is not her proudest moment in music.
