I love these lyrics, especially the chorus. There's a magical order of the phrases that make you think and understand the meaning after each stanza is sung. Tropical the island breeze = The island breeze is tropical (I love that arrangement) And when the samba played The sun would set so high Run through my ears and sting my eyes Your Spanish lullaby - at the end of the day she refers to a beautiful (end of the day) song that makes you cry. (the music through the ears) and (tears that sting the eyes).
