Agree I was lucky enough to see this tour in London and the energy and joy from Madonna and the crowd was unmatched compared to later shows. She was so charismatic a force of nature. I just think she lost a bit of that as the tours became more theatrical although still great shows !

she was at her peak of beauty, her look was perfect, the band was on another level, the show was crazy, the choreographies, everything makes this her best tour by far, if you can define the madonna we love, she is the from the 80's, the best example would be with this tour

Lady gaga does not dance or moves like Madonna. Gaga is fat and dance like a pokemon, maybe voice is better but that is it. Reductive. 😂

Lucky Star is written by Madonna herself and produced by Reggie Lucas and Jon Jellybean Benitez. Pat Leonard came on Madonna`s scene a year later. But yes....Pat Leonard and Stephen Bray are the top hit makers Madonna ever had.

Totally agree! It's very unique and completely different to the original album cut. Many songs on WTG Tour sound dramatically different to their recorded counterparts; there's a much more rockier edge - and it's FANTASTIC! :D

Indeed she had a very nice body naturally but I kinda like a bit more her body here cause it's athletic, healthy, striking and allows her to dance so amazingly and her look is just gorgeous

But you can not say that, Madonna was, is and will always be a sold out star in every place she performs, She was the first to sold out a big soccer stadium around the world in the 80's until today! 30 years later!!! That's becomes her the Queen of Tours for always!

Pat Benatar was not in a innovator. that's why she's only known for "Love is a Battlefied" and thats where it ends. Benatar is fabulous but the "queen of rock" is TINA TURNER and Benatar cannot be compared to Madonna. that's like comparing a Mom and Pop shop with a Corporation.

Written with Stephen Bray. Although Lucky Star is written by Madonna alone as are the songs Burning Up, Gambler, Everybody. Look it up. All songs mentioned are from her eponymous debut album Madonna.

You are mistaken. Stephen Bray will confirm that Madonna came to him with about a dozen songs she had already written and he is on record as saying they were actually very good. Madonna is an autodidacte which is why she deserves even more credit for all that she has accomplished. She wrote Lucky Star, Burning Up and Gambler on her own. That is fact. She co-produced every song she recorded with Bray, Leonard et al. She is a phenomenal songwriter and producer in her own right. And all that without any musical training, just hard graft, extraordinary application and huge intelligence. On top of that, she is a stunningly good dancer which I would expect given that she won a prestigious dance scholarship. And finally she is a compelling performer. The eponymous album Madonna, True Blue, Like a Prayer, Erotica, Bedtime Stories, Ray of Light, Music and all the rest would not exist without her vision and artistry and creativity. By the way, lyricists are a very important part of any songwriting endeavour. Ask Elton John or Burt Bacharach.
