She’s never done anything relevant to the fabric of music or entertainment. People give her cute, catchy pop songs, though. But let’s stop adding her to the caliber of Madonna, Prince, or Michael Jackson. Also, let’s stop talking about “talent” as of you people know what it is. Prince played many instruments-that is a skill, not a talent per se. But even if you want to argue that this is a “talent,” what did he accomplish with that? Definitely LESS than Michael Jackson and Madonna. People like to give Madonna shit, but of the three, Madonna is the one that showed more versatility and innovation. Prince and Michael Jackson became caricatures of themselves decades before they died.

In "83" I remember hearing Madonna for the first time on a R&B station back in Saint Petersburg FL WRXB. Lucky Star and Holliday were in heavy rotation. We finally saw her on American Bandstand with Dick Clark. He asked what were her plans and what she wanted to do and she said, "I want to rule the world"?? Mission Accomplished!!
