After the heartache, she's going to carry on, and she did just that with incredible style on Ellen's show!

Just because she's 55 yrs old she can't do this kind of things? Lemme ask you, why? If u see yourself at 55 sitting on a couch watching TV it's non of our bussines, she's trying (really hard, i know) but the merit here is that she's doing what she loves. proving that women, no matter the age, no matter what, can do the fuck they love to do, and for me, it's even more valuable than a feminism speach about how are we supposed to act.

Age is just a number, though some people don't see it that way. If Madonna wasn't famous, how would you expect things to be today? Different. Because of her, Madonna has made the world a better place for everyone, as she has done the best things in life, such as having her own music career, building new schools in Malawi, you name it, she has done pretty much everything she can to make the world better for us. It's about time those who hate her should take a look at all of the hard work and effort that Madonna has put in into becoming one of the best female artists of all time. We should all take a leaf out of her book every once in a while and realise that without her, the whole world wouldn't know what to do. She is 56 for goodness sake, and people think it's okay to judge and despise of someone just because of their age. As a matter of fact, she's been around a damn sight longer than I have, and I appreciate everything that Madonna has done, as she is only doing what she loves doing the most, and that is music. Like her or hate her, however you feel, Madonna deserves all of the respect in the world, she loves making music, as most of us are fans like myself, but you have to realise that she is a musician in her own right, and realise that she worked her ass off to get herself noticed and become the artist that she is today. I'm sorry if I appear to have waffled on too much, but think of this. What is she doing? She is speaking her mind, and she is doing it because none of us wanted to, as we're afraid of speaking out and saying how we feel about something or someone. Madonna deserves my respect because she is doing this for us now, so that all of us are appreciated a lot better for what we are and what we do. Remember this: Age is just a number, a person's life should be valued, because you don't realise just how precious a person's life is until they're gone.

When you think of Madonna as the queen of pop, it's almost unfathomable to consider her inventiveness in pop lyricism, constantly pushing boundaries and setting the stage for other artists. Albums like Erotica, Ray of Light and Confessions cement her stardom and versatility, playing with genre, electronica, dance, disco and avant-garde style.

Cameron McCullough It's not in a literal sense. It means that people like Madonna should've quit while they were ahead. She's only hurting the reputation she once had. Your ideals won't last, as a starting musician you will have ideas hopes and a message you want to share with people, once you have been in the business for too long, you will become a sellout who just wants to make money and stay relevant/famous.

To be truly honest, I don't hate Madonna and I wouldn't want anyone to think that I do.

So I'm sick of people criticizing and judging one another. Madonna has the right be/act/do/say/sing whatever and perform however she wants. Her age has nothing to do with anything. Why can't a 55 year old, experienced woman act like a sexually mature woman. Why is it normal and acceptable for only 20 year old girls to do this. I do not agree with all this crap going on. She is a brilliant example of many women around the world who are thought less of because of their age. When I turn 55 I would be lucky to look half as good as Madonna does. She will be old when she is 90-something when she in not able to do what she loves best. She is phenomenal. She always has been even when she's being controversial or when she's falling off steps during a performance. And as for Lady Gaga fans that are down in these comments being so immature, I know I am embarrassed, and I know Gaga herself would be disappointed if she read some of the things her fans say to other artist's. Lady Gaga is amazing and you all owe Madonna some appreciation for being one of the artists that impaired Gaga to be the performer she is today.

Funny how so many people will call themselves socially liberal - yet be perfectly okay with their ageism. Come back when you can dance and perform like that 56. How dare a 56 woman want to express herself, make her fans happy, and remain physically fit whilst doing something she clearly loves? Damn. Yeah, of course she should give it up and become a couch potato. Not that Rebel Heart has been extremely well received by critics and the tour will no doubt be a huge success or anything.. is it. ^_^
