The whole thing is art. I would not consider myself to be a pure Madonna fan in entirety, if we were to incorporate viewpoints, but I admire certain aspects of her which she has used to her advantage throughout her whole career. She was the first "shock artist queen" to the mainstream media and then she became a humanitarian. I support her humanitarian views and actions but not necessary her political viewpoints or methods. Despite all of that, Madonna is a highly intelligent woman who should never be underestimated.

So classy, the art direction in here is just unique as it is stylish. I love the modern oriental vibe it’s giving and Madonna really knew how to execute it to match the music. I discovered this video in 2023 and it still look new to me. This video was so stylistically ahead of it's time, it's hard to believe it came out in 1993. Her ability to evolve and expand artistically is unparalleled. I'm honestly not even a big Madonna fan, don't listen to her music often, but everyone ought to respect this woman's body of work. The world will never see a career this brilliant again.

I remember when it came out, saying it was "ahead of its time" is sooo overrated. The video was fantastic but Madonna was already known for pushing the envelope, Mark Romanek had already been making good videos for a while, that's the same year when he shot Lenny Kravitz's "Are you gonna go my way" so no, it was not ahead of Mark or Madonna's time.

My "little sister" was killed in a car accident on March 12, 1993. She idolized Madonna, and this song was released later that year. I miss her more than anything.... She is the rain, and I look forward to it raining each day. 27 years today, and counting, I have been missing, and loving you.❤😥 RIP Renee' Lynn Stuart.

Agreed.. Live to Tell, This Used To Be My Playground.. but for me her first try at singing a ballad stands out.. "Crazy For You" the lyrics to that song were written by John Bettis.. Who wrote some of the biggest hit singles for the Carpenters in the 1970's.. The way Madonna sings Crazy For You.. you can almost hear her invoking the spirit of the late Karen Carpenter.

I've just rediscovered this song after decades and, if long time ago it didn't touched me, now I'm just petrified, fascinated, speechless. With "You'll see, "Take a bow", and "Live to tell", "Rain" complete a perfection circle. She shows all the Valor of her voice, which is perfect, beyond this world, and further. Her voice is perfect, can perform everything so, combined with Madonna's beauty and her most beautiful blue eyes of the world, make her the Queen. "Rain" is a masterpiece song!

It's really amazing how Madonna in each music video adopts a different look and a different personality. she is the artist with the most reinventions in history. "Rain" is a beautiful video, very timeless, with excellent visuals. One of her best videos. The scene from minute 2:38 blew my mind. It's great!. Important fact: Madonna was named by Billboard as The Artist With the Best Videography of All Time.

The 90's saw her making some of the best music videos of her career. This one is one of the highlights, the other one directed by Romanek, 'Bedtime Story" being a masterpiece on all levels. And... 'Rain' features my other musical hero, Ryuichi Sakamoto, as the director!!!! A pity those two never collaborated on something musically.
