The audio production on this was really ahead of it's time. Still sounds fresh and has aged well, like so many classic Madonna hits. That bass is everything.

Shocked to hell that there aren't more comments about how absolutely stunning she looks in this video - I think this is probably one of her most aesthetically perfect eras (along with Blonde Ambition era). She is seriously edgy haute-couture gorgeous here. Old Hollywood meets edgy fashion magazine - with a dash of sex . Every scene in this video is extremely artistic and well-shot, just like how a high fashion photographer would handle an envelope-pushing fashion spread. More people should appreciate the artistry in this - its definitely sexy, but it is in no way vulgar. It's executed perfectly. If only we were all so lucky to create videos of this nature to capture ourselves in such a sensual and artistic way!

Ever since Madonna's Erotica era, every female pop star has been trying to do this. But unlike them, she wasn't a little girl....she was a grown ass woman in her early 30s, and even when she was completely nude and objectified, she still looked like she ruled the universe. There is much irony in this era of her career. Unfortunately, as often happened with Madonna in those days, the music got lost in all the controversy. Erotica is an incredible album that sounds like it was produced in some underground studio in New York City. It's very raw, up-to-date synth-pop and r&b. Should've got a grammy!

Just want to take a moment and comment on how versatile she is. She had come off a huge hit with This Used To Be My Playground, a ballad, and she followed it up with "Erotica". I'll never cease to be amazed at how she pushed herself with every record and in turn, pushed her audience (and pop music in general) forward too. She succeeded where others would've flopped. Unafraid to change, always finding ways to reinvent herself and never backing down when people said no to her. And she's still around, and has a few tricks up her sleeve, I'm sure. There will never be anyone like Madonna.

Nothing like this was happening at the time like this...it was NEW, the content was considered worse then porn..people didn't know how to respond. MTV refused to play it. And that says everything about her savviness as a business woman. You got to hand it to her and her manager, who convinced her record company to allow her to pursue and fund her vision, and challenge the status quo, in spite of the backlash that they knew would come. It would've been a career killing move for most, but she succeeded and kept her fans and continued to make records still to this day.

1992 right? Very brave... She was surprised why people acted negatively about all of this. In retrospect, while I admire her bravery, it was just a tad too much. She should have toned it down just...just a bit. And i am sure it would have been ok. AIDS was still killing people. The 70s and disco culture were long gone. In all honestly, the song's video might have had a better chance 1975, next to Donna Summer's Love to love you baby, than in 1992. But again...i salute her for her bravery. She took the punches like a pro but came out on top...albeit with a toned down image.

Mine clearly was a lot more Photographic literally photocopying her programmes for both the Blond Ambition and Girlie show tours haha 🤣😉 very good but needed more literature apparently.... I thought i was being clever having printed off "The Beast Within" scripture from the programme lol and to this day, ive always wondered whatever happened to my hard working piece of work id done all those years ago hehe...... When i finally went to collect my Dita at the age of 10 weeks old, she was introduced onto my facebook page as my new addition to the family, say hello to My darling Dita.... school friends immediatly saying "i already knew her name, even before id said so" as that was all i would say back then that when im older i'm gonna have a Dalmatian called Dita 😍 Sorry got bit carried away there lol just always remember...Poor is the man whose pleasures depend on the permission of another 💜🔥😈

Love the way you described it and your choice of words at the beginning. You're she doesn't just make songs. She really made you feel so many different things with the way she kept reinventing herself. In the year of 1992 we find Madonna at her most artistically and lyrically potent during the Erotica era. I will never forgive the media and the American public for destroying this masterpiece and shaming her for her artistic vision and sexuality. This album and era would still be ahead of It's time If It were released today. If there Is ever any doubt that Madonna Is the greatest woman music artist of all time, just listen to Like a Prayer (1989), I'm Breathless (1990), Erotica (1992), Ray of Light (1998), and Confessions On a Dancefloor (2005), and do a deep dive Into those eras, as well as the mythos and Iconography that surround them. No other woman comes close to her full breadth of artistry. Her most formidable contemporaries, Prince and Michael Jackson (both of whom I worship), ran out of creative steam and artistic relevancy after the 80s, whereas Madonna was just getting started. Putting aside her public persona and all of her shenanigans, she Is truly a treasure. Madonna Is a poet, creative visionary, a brilliant vocalist, masterful songwriter, artistic genius, the last of the originals and the most pioneering female entertainer and auteur of all time. I am an artist..I sing, write on social issues, work for street animals I would never resort to things she resorts to.... A true artist doesnt need the aid of males/females, unnecessary kissing/ nudity, erotica..... A true artist sings for its creator not masses.... A true artist doesnt resort to the pleasures of the flesh.... How shallow that is While I can still see how emotional u r for her... No hate...
