With current capacity nearing its limit of 70 million passengers, and most flights being short-haul, the need for expansion is clear.
Enter a monumental 2.4 billion Euro investment, the most significant in Spanish airport infrastructure in a decade. This ambitious plan aims to increase Barajas' capacity by a substantial 28%, generating thousands of jobs and boosting Madrid's GDP in the process.

As a ground handling worker at MAD Id like to say tht T1/2/3 are old, creppy and insufficient terminals; not a good image for passengers. On the other hand we have the opossite, modern T4....I hope Aena *public company which manage the airport* waste the money is required. Things go slow on tht, very slow.....lets see.
