Katrina was not hurricane damage, I know people who stayed and made it through the hurricane, it was the bad design of the levees in the city. A few of them broke due to the lake to our north pushing the water back to the city. If the levees had been built correctly, we would have had damage, but no where close to what occurred during Katrina. It was a Cat. 3 when it hit us.
